Abstract
<B>PROCESSO E SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçõES SEM FIO, E ESTAçãO DE BASE PARA UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçõES SEM FIO<D> A arquitetura de transporte reverso reduz eficazmente os tempos de reativação para transmissões de dados de conexão de avanço e de conexão inversa pelos sistemas de comunicações sem fio CDMA, com base nas transmissões de modo de pacote pelo transporte reverso entre uma função de seleção/distribuição de quadro (FSD) e as estações de base apropriadas para ambos os dados de conexão de avanço e dados de conexão inversa. Especificamente, para a direção de avanço, a função de FSD transmite dados de conexão de avanço apenas para uma estação de base (isto é, a estação de base primária), que é unicamente responsável pelo controle da interface de ar de conexão de avanço com a unidade móvel correspondente. Como tal, a conexão de avanço sempre opera no modo simplex para transmissões de dados, independente de como as muitas estações de base estão operando em transferência temporária para a conexão inversa com a mesma unidade móvel. Para a direção inversa, cada estação de base que recebe quadros de dados de conexão inversa da unidade móvel designa um identificador de tempo para o quadro, divide o quadro em um ou mais pacotes de dados, designa um número de seq³ência diferente para cada pacote de dados e transmite os pacotes de dados para a função de FSD pela transferência temporária, tudo sem primeiro sincronizar o tempo com qualquer outra estação de base, isto é, também operando em transferência temporária de conexão inversa com aquela unidade móvel. A função de FSD (ou preferivelmente a função de protocolo de conexão de rádio (RLP)) é então responsável pela seleção dos pacotes de dados de conexão inversa para processamento subsequente (por exemplo, transmissão para a extremidade da rede de conexão). Limitando-se as transmissões de dados de conexão de avanço para modo simplex e usando as transmissões de modo de pacote para dados de conexão reversa, a necessidade de primeiro sincronizar o tempo entre as várias estações de base é eliminada para ambas as transmissões de dados de conexão de avanço e conexão inversa.
