<B>GERENCIAMENTO DE CHAMADAS ON-LINE<D> O sistema inclui um computador adaptado para conduzir chamadas telefónicas de voz-sobre-protocolo-de-dados, tipicamente voz sobre o Protocolo da Internet. Alternativamente, o computador está adaptado para conduzir chamadas de multimídia-sobre-protocolo-de-dados. O computador está conectado a um serviço de dados on-line, tal como por uma conexão telefónica por discagem. Enquanto estiver on-line, um usuário no computador está apto a conduzir chamadas telefónicas ou de multimídia com uma voz-sobre-protocolo-de-dados ou multimídia-sobre-protocolo-de-dados, respectivamente. O usuário está apto a colocar uma chamada em espera, sem desconectar a chamada e realizar outras ações, tais como realizar atividades on-line ou fazer uma segunda chamada de voz ou de multimídia.
