Abstract

This method applies to the textile industry. It can be effectively used with textile materials both as fabric or apparel, no matter what kind of dyestuff is used for dyeing, keeping their strength and the sewing threads. The method consists in applying on the fabric a composition, containing in g/l: white or coloured pigment on the basis of water non-soluble organic or inorganic compounds from 5 to 50, acrylate base bond from 20 to 80, silicone base softener from 5 to 20, 20 per cent ammonia from 5 to 10, wetting agent on the base of derivatives of sulfonated fatty acids from 1 to 2, ammonium rhodanide (aqueous solution in proportion 1:1) from 5 to 15 and thickening agent from 100 to 200. The thickening agent composition in grammes in 1000 g is: water X, 4 per cent aqueous solution of sodium alginate from 80 to 150, emulsifier on ethylene oxide base from 5 to 10, urea from 10 to 50, turpentine from500 to 600. The material is immersed for 1 to 5 min. and is loosely strained for 30 to 60 minutes and after that printing paste is applied with the usual composition, containing a white or coloured pigment additive of 10 to 50g/kg by means of a special template-raster or suitable design imitating worn-like appearance. After drying at a temperature of 80 to 120 degrees C, thermo-fixing with dry air follows at a temperature of 140 to 160 degrees C for 4 to 6 min or in a steam medium at temperature of 130 to 160 degrees C for 5 to 7 min.
