This method is an application for pouring steels in metal moulds with weight of the casting up to 0.5 t. The method ensures improvement of the macro- and microstructure of steel and its mechanical properties. It is possible to create additional nitrogenation and reduce the technological duration of the process. The method is realized by blowing liquid steel with gaseous nitrogen through porous refractory materials, which are mounted at the bottom of the metal mould. The blowing process begins at the start of the pouring of the metal from the steel-pouring ladle into the metal mould and continues without a break until a crust appears on the surface of the ingot. The consumption of nitrogen is 1 - 2 m<3>/t and this consumption is permanent.
