Abstract
The method and the equipment are used in the chemical industry. By means of them, improved heat efficiency and higher reliability is attained, and thus ruling out any chance of oxygen entering the reactor. By the process, the successive motorcar tyre is heated in space, which is vacuumed and filled by inert gas before the actual pyrolysis. The cylindrical reactor (1) of the equipment has a supply conveying system including, in succession: horizontally fitted roller conveyor (5), moving the tyres, a receiving (6) and heating (7) chamber. Chamber (7) engages the upper part of the cylindrical reactor (1) and has an airtight closing vertical flap (8), separating the heated (7) from the receiving (6) chamber. Chamber (7) is internally coated by no spark-forming material. Cover (10) of reactor (1) is heat insulated. The movement of tyres in chambers (6 and 7) and the opening of cover (10) of reactor (1) is effected by means of duly oriented pneumatic cylinders. Housing (23) is attached below to reactor (1), which is found in a water bath (24) wherein there are a horizontal (25) and inclined (26 and 27) conveyors.
