Abstract

The method is used for scrubbing and deodorizing of liquid hydrocarbons, in particular with propane-butane, containing organic and/or inorganic polluting components and unpleasant odour. By the method the flow of the scrubbed material through one or two adsorption agents, connected in series, is fed to the entire penetration of the polluting component. The scrubbed material is converted into recycled adsorption agent. By partially known methods the absorption agent, saturated with the pollution components is recycled. During the recycling the liquid material is pushed back under pressure from the adsorption agent to the untreated material tank by inert gas, the pressure of which is higher than that of the flow of the material during all the time. Simultaneously with the rinsing with inert gas, the adsorption agent is quickly heated for 10 to 120 min, preferably for 20 to 80 min. The system for the realization of the method includes adsorbers (16, 17), filled with adsorption agent (27) with suitable heating. The system also includes additional devices for the recycling, pump (18) for batching of the untreated material, cooler (19), condensation separator (21) and vacuum pump (20) for the recycling, as well as multiple valves (1-15), pipeline for untreated material (24), recycling pipeline (22), pipeline for the initial finished product (26) and pipeline for the inert gas (25), connected to the system. The adsorption agent (27) is natural and/or artificial zeolite, to which up to one-twelfth part of its volume is substituted by a special adsorption agent. 4 claims, 1 figure
