La présente invention a pour objet un panneau décoratif, en particulier revêtement décoratif, reproduisant un motif tel que photo, peinture ou graphisme.
L'invention a pour but de procurer un panneau ou revêtement décoratif essentiellement constitué d'éléments en verre de diverses teintes assemblés sur un support pour reproduire le motif susdit.
A cet effet, ledit panneau ou revêtement comprend des éléments en verre de différentes couleurs destinés à être assemblés pour former le motif susdit, ces éléments étant constitués par une plaque de verre transparent dont la face opposée à la face qui sera apparente sur le panneau est traitée de manière à permettre l'accrochage d'une couche de peinture qui la couvre entièrement, cette couche de peinture étant recouverte d'une couche de matière opaque capable d'adhérer à la peinture et pouvant recevoir des moyens de fixation pour l'assemblage des éléments sur un support afin de former le panneau.
Suivant une forme de réalisation avantageuse de l'invention, une couche de vernis transparent ou translucide est prévue entre le verre et la couche de peinture susdite.
L'invention est également relative à un procédé de fabrication des éléments en verre susdits.
Suivant l'invention, ledit procédé consiste à colorer des plaques de verre transparent suivant un code intemational,tel que code type

seule couleur, la face de la plaque destinée à recevoir la couche de peinture étant préparée, pour offrir une bonne adhérence à la peinture, soit par sablage, soit par morsure à l'acide mis en contact avec ladite face par sérigraphie, la couche de peinture étant ensuite déposée sur la face traitée de la plaque soit par projection, soit par sérigraphie, après séchage de la peinture sans cuisson, la couche de matière opaque est déposée, par exemple par enduisage, sur la couche de peinture, la plaque étant ensuite découpée, pour former les éléments précités, après solidification de la couche de matière opaque.
L'invention a encore pour objet un procédé d'assemblage des éléments en verre coloré pour constituer le panneau ou revêtement précité.
Suivant l'invention, ce procédé consiste à choisir le motif susdit, à analyser l'image de celui-ci par ordinateur et à décomposer cette image en un nombre déterminé d'éléments, tels que carrés, à définir la couleur de chaque élément et sa position dans l'image grâce à un code chiffré correspondant à un code de couleur déterminé, l'ordinateur commandant ensuite un système de visualisation ou d'impression donnant le schéma d'assemblage des éléments colorés précités.
D'autres détails et particularités de l'invention ressortiront de la description des dessins annexés au présent mémoire et qui, d'une part, représentent, à titre d'exemples non limitatifs, une forme de réalisation particulière du panneau décoratif et d'un élément en verre entrant dans la composition de ce panneau et, d'autre part, illustrent les procédés susdits suivant l'invention.
La figure 1 est une vue schématique en élévation, avec brisure partielle, d'un panneau suivant l'invention. La figure 2 est une vue en élévation et un coupe d'un élément en verre coloré entrant dans la composition du panneau. La figure 3 est une vue schématique en perspective, avec brisure partielle, d'une plaque de verre d'une couleur déterminée de laquelle sont découpés les éléments représentés à la figure 2. La figure 4 est une vue schématique illustrant le procédé susdit pour la réalisation du panneau suivant l'invention.
Dans les différentes figures, les mêmes notations de référence désignent des éléments identiques ou analogues.
Le panneau ou revêtement décoratif 1 suivant l'invention est, comme montré à la figure 1, une reproduction d'un motif 2 et est constitué d'éléments 3 en verre coloré, de différentes couleurs correspondant à celles dudit motif, qui sont assemblés côte à côte sur un support 4. Ces éléments 3 sont constitués, comme montré à la figure 2, d'une plaque <EMI ID=3.1>
la face 7 de la plaque 5 qui sera apparente sur le panneau 1,. est traitée de manière à permettre l'accrochage d'une couche de peinture 8 qui la couvre entièrement. Cette couche 8 est recouverte d'une couche 9 de matière opaque choisie, d'une part, de manière à adhérer à la couche de peinture 8 et, d'autre part, de manière à recevoir des moyens de fixation 10 de l'élément 3 au support 4. La peinture de la couche 8 est choisie dans la gamme des peintures présentant une bonne adhérence au verre ayant subi le traitement susdit, qui a pour effet de dépolir la face 6 susdite, et qui durcissent sans cuisson.
Pour donner, par transparence, un éclat particulier à la couleur déposée sur la plaque 5, une couche de vernis 11 est avantageusement prévue entre la face 6 de la plaque 5 et ladite couche de couleur, le vernis étant choisi de manière à présenter une bonne adhérence au verre traité ainsi qu'à la couleur constituant la couche 8. Les moyens de fixation
10 sont avantageusement constitués par des pastilles 12 (figure 2) de matière autocollante double face, un film de protection 14 étant prévu sur la face 15 desdites pastilles pour préserver cette dernière lors du stockage et des manipulations des éléments 3. Ces pastilles
12 pourraient bien entendu être remplacées par une feuille adhésive
12 (figure 3), double face, couvrant l'entièreté de la couche opaque 9 des éléments 3 et dont la face 15 est protégée par un film de protection 14.
Il est bien entendu que cette couche 9 pourrait également être enduite de colle au moment de la fixation des éléments 3 sur le support 4 précité.
Suivant l'invention, les éléments 3 proviennent de plaques de verre 16 qui présentent chacune une seule couleur (figure
3) et qui sont obtenues par un procédé qui consiste à colorer ces plaques de verre transparent 16 suivant un code international type Pantone ou Munsell d'environ 500 couleurs différentes, la face 6 de la plaque
16, destinée à recevoir la couche de peinture 8, est préparée, pour offrir une bonne adhérence à la peinture et éviter l'écaillage de cette dernière lors de la coupe de la plaque, soit par sablage, soit par morsure à l'acide mis en contact avec ladite face 6, par sérigraphie, la couche de peinture 8 étant ensuite déposée sur la face traitée de la plaque soit par projection, soit par sérigraphie. Après séchage de la couche de peinture 8 sans cuisson, la couche de matière opaque 9 est déposée, par exemple par enduisage, sur la couche de peinture 8.
La plaque
16 est ensuite découpée, pour former les éléments 3, après solidification de la couche de matière opaque.
Lorsque l'on désire aviver l'aspect brillant de la couche de peinture 8, on revêt, avant d'appliquer cette couche 8 sur la face traitée 6 de la plaque, cette face 6 d'une couche 11 de vernis transparent ou translucide.
Avant de découper la plaque de verre 16 pour former les éléments 8, on peut avantageusement revêtir la couche de matière opaque 9 d'une feuille adhésive 12 double face, la face apparente
15 de cette feuille étant elle-même revêtue d'une feuille de protection
14, telle que feuille siliconée.
On peut également, suivant l'invention, pour obtenir un effet décoratif spécial des éléments 3, décorer la face 7 de la plaque de verre 16, opposée à celle recevant la couche de peinture 8, soit par sablage, soit par gravure à l'acide ou encore par givrage.
Suivant l'invention, pour la réalisation du panneau 1, à l'aide des éléments colorés 3 découpés des plaques 16, on choisit le motif 2 à reproduire (voir figure 4), on analyse l'image dudit motif au moyen d'une caméra vidéo et d'un ordinateur 18. On décompose cette image en un nombre déterminé de carrés et on définit la couleur de chaque carré et sa position dans l'image grâce à un code chiffré correspondant au code de couleur précité choisi. L'ordinateur, qui effectue l'analyse de l'image conformément à un programme de numérisation d'images, commande ensuite un système 19 de visualisation de l'image et une imprimante 20 fournissant le schéma d'assemblage

Il doit être entendu que l'invention n'est nullement limitée aux formes de réalisation décrites et que bien des modifications peuvent être apportées à ces dernières sans sortir du cadre du présent brevet.
On pourr ait également, suivant l'invention et plutôt que de décorer la face 7 susdite, utiliser du verre dont la face correspm dant à ladite face 7 a été imprimée en verrerie.
REVENDICATIONS
1. Panneau décoratif, en particulier revêtement décoratif, reproduisant un motif, tel que photo, peinture ou graphisme, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des éléments en verre de différentes couleurs destinés à être assemblés pour former le motif susdit, ces éléments étant constitués par une plaque de verre transparent dont la face opposée à la face qui sera apparente sur le panneau est traitée de manière à permettre l'accrochage d'une couche de peinture qui la couvre entièrement, cette couche de peinture étant recouverte d'une couche de matière opaque capable d'adhérer à la peinture et pouvant recevoir des moyens de fixation pour l'assemblage des éléments sur un support afin de former le panneau.

The present invention relates to a decorative panel, in particular decorative covering, reproducing a pattern such as photo, painting or graphics.
The object of the invention is to provide a decorative panel or covering essentially consisting of glass elements of various shades assembled on a support to reproduce the above-mentioned pattern.
To this end, said panel or covering comprises glass elements of different colors intended to be assembled to form the aforementioned pattern, these elements being constituted by a transparent glass plate whose face opposite to the face which will be visible on the panel is treated so as to allow the attachment of a layer of paint which completely covers it, this layer of paint being covered with a layer of opaque material capable of adhering to the paint and capable of receiving fixing means for assembly elements on a support to form the panel.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a layer of transparent or translucent varnish is provided between the glass and the above-mentioned layer of paint.
The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the above glass elements.
According to the invention, said method consists in coloring transparent glass plates according to an international code, such as type code

single color, the face of the plate intended to receive the layer of paint being prepared, to offer good adhesion to the paint, either by sanding, or by biting with the acid brought into contact with said face by screen printing, the layer of paint then being deposited on the treated face of the plate either by spraying or by screen printing, after the paint has dried without cooking, the layer of opaque material is deposited, for example by coating, on the layer of paint, the plate then being cut to form the aforementioned elements, after solidification of the layer of opaque material.
The invention also relates to a method of assembling colored glass elements to constitute the aforementioned panel or covering.
According to the invention, this method consists in choosing the above-mentioned pattern, in analyzing the image thereof by computer and in decomposing this image into a determined number of elements, such as squares, in defining the color of each element and its position in the image thanks to an encrypted code corresponding to a determined color code, the computer then controlling a display or printing system giving the assembly diagram of the aforementioned colored elements.
Other details and particularities of the invention will emerge from the description of the drawings appended to this specification and which, on the one hand, represent, by way of nonlimiting examples, a particular embodiment of the decorative panel and of a glass element used in the composition of this panel and, on the other hand, illustrate the above processes according to the invention.
Figure 1 is a schematic elevational view, partially broken, of a panel according to the invention. Figure 2 is an elevational view and a section of a colored glass element used in the composition of the panel. Figure 3 is a schematic perspective view, with partial breakage, of a glass plate of a determined color from which are cut the elements shown in Figure 2. Figure 4 is a schematic view illustrating the above process for the realization of the panel according to the invention.
In the different figures, the same reference notations designate identical or analogous elements.
The panel or decorative covering 1 according to the invention is, as shown in FIG. 1, a reproduction of a pattern 2 and consists of elements 3 of colored glass, of different colors corresponding to those of said pattern, which are assembled side by side. side by side on a support 4. These elements 3 consist, as shown in FIG. 2, of a plate <EMI ID = 3.1>
the face 7 of the plate 5 which will be visible on the panel 1 ,. is treated so as to allow the attachment of a layer of paint 8 which completely covers it. This layer 8 is covered with a layer 9 of opaque material chosen, on the one hand, so as to adhere to the layer of paint 8 and, on the other hand, so as to receive fixing means 10 for the element 3 to the support 4. The paint of the layer 8 is chosen from the range of paints having good adhesion to the glass having undergone the aforementioned treatment, which has the effect of roughening the aforementioned face 6, and which harden without cooking.
To give, by transparency, a particular shine to the color deposited on the plate 5, a layer of varnish 11 is advantageously provided between the face 6 of the plate 5 and said layer of color, the varnish being chosen so as to have good adhesion to the treated glass as well as to the color constituting the layer 8. The fixing means
10 are advantageously constituted by pads 12 (FIG. 2) of double-sided adhesive material, a protective film 14 being provided on the face 15 of said pads to preserve the latter during storage and handling of the elements 3. These pads
12 could of course be replaced by an adhesive sheet
12 (FIG. 3), double-sided, covering the entire opaque layer 9 of the elements 3 and the face 15 of which is protected by a protective film 14.
It is understood that this layer 9 could also be coated with glue when the elements 3 are fixed to the aforementioned support 4.
According to the invention, the elements 3 come from glass plates 16 which each have a single color (figure
3) and which are obtained by a process which consists in coloring these transparent glass plates 16 according to an international Pantone or Munsell type code of approximately 500 different colors, the face 6 of the plate
16, intended to receive the layer of paint 8, is prepared to offer good adhesion to the paint and to prevent it from flaking off when cutting the plate, either by sanding or by biting with acid in contact with said face 6, by screen printing, the paint layer 8 then being deposited on the treated face of the plate either by spraying, or by screen printing. After the paint layer 8 has dried without baking, the opaque material layer 9 is deposited, for example by coating, on the paint layer 8.
The plaque
16 is then cut, to form the elements 3, after solidification of the layer of opaque material.
When it is desired to enhance the shiny appearance of the paint layer 8, before applying this layer 8 on the treated face 6 of the plate, this face 6 is coated with a layer 11 of transparent or translucent varnish.
Before cutting the glass plate 16 to form the elements 8, the layer of opaque material 9 can advantageously be coated with a double-sided adhesive sheet 12, the visible face
15 of this sheet being itself coated with a protective sheet
14, such as silicone sheet.
It is also possible, according to the invention, to obtain a special decorative effect of the elements 3, decorate the face 7 of the glass plate 16, opposite to that receiving the layer of paint 8, either by sanding or by etching. acid or by icing.
According to the invention, for the production of the panel 1, using the colored elements 3 cut from the plates 16, the pattern 2 to be reproduced is chosen (see FIG. 4), the image of said pattern is analyzed by means of a video camera and a computer 18. This image is decomposed into a determined number of squares and the color of each square and its position in the image are defined using an encrypted code corresponding to the aforementioned color code chosen. The computer, which analyzes the image in accordance with an image scanning program, then controls an image display system 19 and a printer 20 providing the assembly diagram

It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and that many modifications can be made to these without departing from the scope of this patent.
We could also, according to the invention and rather than decorating the aforesaid face 7, use glass whose face corresponding to said face 7 has been printed in glassware.

1. Decorative panel, in particular decorative coating, reproducing a pattern, such as photo, painting or graphic design, characterized in that it comprises glass elements of different colors intended to be assembled to form the above-mentioned pattern, these elements being made up by a transparent glass plate, the face opposite to the face which will be visible on the panel is treated so as to allow the attachment of a layer of paint which completely covers it, this layer of paint being covered with a layer of opaque material capable of adhering to the paint and capable of receiving fixing means for assembling the elements on a support in order to form the panel.
