"Process for the production of cunettes and formwork for setting
work of this process "The subject of the present invention is a process for producing cunettes.
Up to now, to build cunettes, we have always used the following techniques, which consist either of placing end-to-end prefabricated elements of cunettes after having excavated the ground to receive said elements, or, after excavating the ground, pouring concrete into fixed forms to obtain the section section by section. The first of these techniques has the disadvantage of being very expensive, in particular because of the use of complex molds for the manufacture of prefabricated elements, significant transport costs for transporting these elements from the place of production to the places of use. and backfilling operations after placing the elements.
With regard to the second technique, if it makes it possible to produce cunettes at a lower cost than the first technique mentioned above, it nevertheless has the drawback of being particularly slow. Any way to remedy this slowness is
to multiply the number of fixed forms, to make several sections of gutters simultaneously, which appreciably increases the cost of material and labor.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to provide a method for producing concrete gutters, reinforced or not, continuously, on the one hand, with excellent resistance of the concretes used and a finish. very neat of visible surfaces and, on the other hand, with a very high speed of execution and at low cost.
To this end, according to the invention, said method consists in practicing in the ground where the cunette will be located an excavation whose length corresponds to that of the cunette and whose cross section corresponds substantially to the external cross section of said cunette, concreting at the bottom of this excavation a slab intended to constitute the bottom of the cunette, to continuously move on this slab a sliding formwork whose external cross section corresponds
to the internal cross section of the cunette and to be injected continuously, between the walls of the sliding formwork located opposite the side walls of the excavation and these latter walls, concrete in quantity such that it fills the space between strike it off, the aforementioned walls of the formwork and the excavation to constitute the side walls of the cunette.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the concrete introduced into the space between the slab and the above-mentioned walls of the formwork is vibrated.
The invention also relates to a formwork for the implementation of the above process.
According to the invention, this formwork comprises a rigid and non-deformable frame provided with means arranged to move on guide members arranged along the longitudinal axis of the aforementioned excavation and supported by the slab, two elements arranged on the side and other of the chassis and symmetrical with respect to the vertical plane passing through the longitudinal axis of the chassis, these elements extending from the above-mentioned raft to a height corresponding to the height of the cunette to be produced and being mounted on said chassis by the 'intermediary of articulations allowing the elements of the formwork to pivot around axes parallel to the longitudinal axis of the chassis in order to adjust the angular position of said elements as a function of the inclination of the side walls of the cunette to be produced,
means for immobilizing the formwork elements on the chassis in the chosen position and at least one concrete supply hopper supported by the chassis and comprising two chutes each leading to an opening provided in each of the formwork elements, over a large part of their height, to allow passage to the concrete towards the space between said elements and the side walls of the excavation.
Other details and particularities of the invention will emerge from the description of the drawings appended to this specification and which illustrate, by way of nonlimiting example, the method according to the invention and a particular embodiment of the formwork according to the invention .
Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating the above process and showing the formwork according to the invention. Figure 2 is an elevational view of the frame of the formwork illustrated in Figure 1. Figure 3 is a plan view corresponding to Figure 2. Figure 4 is a view according to Figure IV-IV of Figure 2 showing the complete formwork according to the invention. FIG. 5 is a detail view along the line V-V of FIG. 4. FIG. 6 is a partial view, in section along the line VI-VI of FIG. 5.
In the different figures, the same reference notations designate identical or analogous elements.
The method according to the invention and illustrated in the drawings, is intended for the production, continuously, of concrete cushions 1 and consists first of all in practicing in the ground where the cunette 1 will be located an excavation 2 whose length corresponds to the length of the cunette to be built and the cross section of which, by a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, of trace 3, of the excavation, corresponds substantially to the corresponding external cross section of the cunette, then to be concreted at the bottom 4 of this excavation a raft 5 intended to constitute the bottom 6 of the cunette.
The process then consists, after hardening of the raft 5, in continuously moving on this raft a sliding formwork 7 whose external cross section corresponds to the internal cross section of the cunette and finally injecting continuously, between the walls 8 of the sliding formwork located opposite the side walls 9 of the excavation and the latter walls 9, concrete in quantity such that it fills the space 10 between the slab 5, the walls 8 of the formwork and the walls 9 of the excavation to form the side walls 11 of the cunette.
Whether the poured concrete is reinforced or not, this concrete is vibrated when it is introduced into the above-mentioned space and when it occupies all of this space. If the concrete is reinforced, metal reinforcements 12 are deposited, on the one hand, on the bottom 4 of the excavation and on the other hand, against the side walls 9 of the excavation, in the space 10 above, the concrete intended to constitute the raft 5 then being poured.
The sliding formwork 7 for implementing the above process comprises, as shown in the drawings, a rigid and non-deformable chassis 13 (see FIGS. 2 and 3) furnished with wheels 14 circulating on rails 15, placed on the slab 5 parallel to the longitudinal axis 3 of the excavation 2, as well as two formwork elements 16 (see figure
4) arranged on either side of the chassis 13 and symmetrical with respect to the vertical plane passing through the longitudinal axis of the chassis 13 which is parallel to the above-mentioned longitudinal axis 3. These formwork elements 16, which have the aforesaid walls 8 and which extend from the slab 5 to a height corresponding to the height of the cunette 1 to be produced, are mounted on said chassis 13 by means of articulations
17 allowing the elements of the formwork to pivot around axes 18 parallel to the longitudinal axis of the chassis and to the longitudinal axis 3 of the excavation in order to adjust the angular position of said elements as a function of the inclination of the side walls 11 of cunette to achieve.
.The formwork 7 also comprises means 19 arranged to immobilize the formwork elements 16 on the frame 13 in the chosen position, a concrete feed hopper 20 supported by the frame and comprising two troughs 21 each leading to an opening 22 provided in each of the formwork elements 16, over a significant part of their height, to allow passage to the concrete towards the space 10 comprised between the walls 8 of the elements 16, the walls 9 of the excavation and the foundation 5. The elements 16 comprise , at the top of the above walls 8, profiles 23 whose face 24 allows the completion of the upper edge 25 of the side walls of the cunette.
The formwork elements 16 each include means for vibrating the concrete introduced into the space 10, these means, which are located upstream of the opening 22 made in each of the elements 16, considering the direction of movement of the formwork 7 indicated by the arrow 26 (Figure 1) are advantageously constituted by a vibrating motor 27 fixed directly on each of the elements 16, substantially halfway up the latter.
As shown in FIG. 4, the means 19 making it possible to immobilize the shuttering elements 16 in the angular position chosen are advantageously constituted by struts 28, with screws and of adjustable length, mounted respectively, at 29, on the chassis
13 and, at 30, on the formwork elements 16.
To facilitate the flow of concrete from the openings 22 in the aforementioned space 10, the troughs 21 are advantageously connected to the openings 22, along the edges 31 of the latter, by a cylindrical surface 32 (see FIG. 6).
It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described and that many modifications can be made to the latter, without departing from the scope of this patent.
