Abstract

Dans ce procédé et dispositif pour couler du fer traité au magnésium, une conduite d'amenée (1) permet de mettre sous pression de gaz inerte le four de coulée (25), cette pression étant régulée par un dispositif de commande de niveau (2). Lorsque la pression diminue, le gaz inerte est évacué hors du four (25) par l'intermédiaire d'une conduite d'évacuation (11), un clapet antiretour interdisant au gaz pollué de magnésium de parvenir dans la conduite d'amenée (1). Pour le nettoyage de la conduite d'évacuation (11) et du diaphragme (13), on introduit périodiquement dans cette conduite (11), par l'intermédiaire d'une conduite (17), un gaz oxydant, de préférence de l'air comprimé, ce qui réalise l'oxydation du magnésium. L'invention permet de procéder sans risque à la mise hors pression d'un four de coulée de fer traité au magnésium.
