Abstract
The cutting tool consists of a handle with a pivoted circular blade at one end. The blade has a series of perforations which engage with a sliding catch in the handle to enable it to be locked in any position. The shape of the blade may be circular, elliptical or star-shaped with any number of points, or any other shape, with its pivoting axis located eccentrically. - The handle can be in one section with a slot for the blade, or in two sections providing a cover for the blade. In a further variant the end of the handle opposite the circular blade can be equipped with a sliding pointed blade.
Description
<EMI ID=4.1>
"Sharp tool or instrument composed of a blade
any shape, rotating on an axis and provided with a
locking system for this blade and a handle. "The invention relates to a cutting tool or instrument composed of a blade of any shape, rotating on an axis
and provided with a locking system for this blade and a handle.
The main advantage obtained by providing the instrument with a blade locking system is that it can be used at the point where the cutting edge is the sharpest.
The instrument according to the invention can also be provided
conventional blades which gives the tool the advantage of being a more complete cutting and slicing instrument.
The universal vocation of the instrument makes it a tool intended to be used both in household, for the hobby and by the professionals. It also finds use in surgery.
To obtain the above-mentioned advantages, a series of blades are shown in the drawings below. These are not restrictive or limiting as to size or shape but to be considered as indicative of the invention.
Other features of the invention will emerge from the description below, which refers to the accompanying drawings, some of which represent the blade locking systems.
It goes without saying that blocking systems are not limited
examples only, but support the invention.
The combination of blade, axis, blade locking system also allows according to the invention to adjust the cutting depth of the blade.
Figure 1 shows according to the invention, a cutting instrument provided with a handle (a), a circular blade (b), a cutting edge (c), an axis (d), a system of blocking by <EMI ID = 1.1> FIG. 2 represents according to the invention, the same instrument but with an eccentric axis (d). Figure 3 shows according to the invention, the same instrument but with an elliptical blade (b). According to the invention, FIG. 4 shows the same instrument with an elliptical blade (b) and an eccentric axis (d). 5 shows according to the invention, a section seen from above of the instrument with the position of the circular blade (b) in the handle as well as the operation of the blade locking cursor. FIG. 6 represents the slider for blocking the blade.
Figures 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 show different blades from circles, the sharp parts of which are shown in bold.
Figure 11 shows according to the invention the same instrument as in Figure 1 but with a locking system via aileron (e). Figure 12 shows according to the invention the same instrument as Figure 11 but with the handle forming a protective cap for the upper part of the circular blade. Figure 13 shows the same instrument as Figure <EMI ID = 2.1>
clamp (g) for these parts.
Figure 14 shows according to the invention the same instrument as in 13, opposite side and also provided with the locking system by screw 'aileron (e) Figure 15 shows according to the invention the same instrument as in 14 but in view on the interior half of the tool which also rears a sliding blade (i). This slides on the axes of the tightening screws (g) fig.l8 Figure 16 represents the other half of the handle of figure 15. <EMI ID = 3.1> of 1 instrument with the position of the locking screws (e ) and
<EMI ID = 4.1>
Figure 18 shows according to the invention the complete instrument also provided with a removable protective cap (j) of the lower part of the circular blade.
