Abstract

On prépare l'acide gamma-diméthylamino L-béta hydroxybutyrique par réaction de l'ester octylique d'acide gamma-iodo L-beta hydroxybutyrique avec de la diméthylamine dans un alcanol inférieur pour obtenir ainsi un mélange des iodhydrates et du diméthylamide de l'ester éthylique d'acide gamma diméthylamino L-beta hydroxybutyrique dans un rapport molaire d'environ 60/40, ce mélange étant élué sur une résine échangeuse d'ions faiblement basique, activée sous la forme OH- afin de séparer les ions iodure, le composé désiré étant ensuite obtenu par une hydrolyse alcaline.
