Abstract
The adjustable handle for an ice-pick has a shaft made up of two sections. The handle is held under tension by a spring fixed to the head, to take up play between the sections, when the handle is extended. - When the sections are closed together, the spring is compressed. It has a variable diameter to accommodate the interior diameters of the handle sections. The diameters of the sections are chosen dependent upon the material from which they are made.
Description
<EMI ID=1.1>

The present invention relates to an adjustable handle system for tip ice ax, blade or point, spades of different models and shapes depending on the necessary applications.
Currently all models of ice axes, whether walking, technical, are equipped with a fixed handle, which necessarily requires having several axes.
This system will therefore allow you to have a single short ice ax that will give you two functions.
After using the ice ax, say walking, (F1.C.), You just have to re-enter the lower part of the ice ax (F.1.9.) Which is adjustable, by pushing the two small lugs into the

sinking until it is blocked by a system similar to (F.1.C.1-2) placed on the bottom of the handle (F.1.C.8)
The adjustable handle (F.1.C.8) is maintained in traction
<EMI ID = 3.1>
which avoids having play between the handles, this when the ice ax is in the open position.
when the ice ax is in the closed position (F.1.B.) it is kept in pressure by the spring (F.1.B.5), it also avoids having play in the handles.
This spring (F.1.C.4) is of variable diameter according to the internal diameters of the ice axes handles.
The material of the sleeves can vary, either in zi cral,
in metal with rubber handle, anodized metal, fiber ....
The heads, purlins, souls or spades will be left to the discretion of the user of this invetion.
The diameters of the handles can vary depending on the materials used.
The lengths of the sleeves can vary according to the sizes of the individuals. (F.1.C.A.B.) The invention is illustrated with reference to the (F.l.F.2.) Frame (A.B.C.) which represents a preferred embodiment of the inventor.
This system is largely designed for ease, weight gain, bulk and money saving.
