BREVET D'INVENTION Au nom de : HANS THOMM Pour : Agent de croissance des cheveux.
Priorité : Demande de brevet déposée en République
Fédérale d'Allemagne le 30 juillet 1983 sous le n P 32 28 486.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

PATENT OF INVENTION In the name of: HANS THOMM For: Hair growth agent.
Priority: Patent application filed in the Republic
Federal of Germany on July 30, 1983 under the number P 32 28 486.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention relates to a hair growth agent.
Previously, hair growth agents of the most diverse compositions have been proscribed, but none of these agents satisfactorily promotes hair growth, this is why, the medical profession is of the opinion that there exists not at all an effective hair growth agent.
The object of the invention is to provide an agent with which one can promote the growth of hair on the scalp and possibly cause it to resume.
This problem is solved according to the invention by a hair growth agent which contains goat butter as well as glandular material obtained from the testes and the placenta.
For reasons of accessibility in particular, the glandular material preferably comes from cattle.
However, testes and placenta from other mammals can also be used.
A suitable glandular material is a product obtained by homogenizing and lyophilizing fresh glands. Preferably, so-called aqueous extracts of testicles and placenta are used, such as those which are contained for example in the ointment with fresh glands which is commercially available under the trade designation "Tactu-Nerval" (W. Fledhoff & Comp., 4401 Senden).
The placental material is preferably free of estrogens.
In addition, the hair growth agent according to the invention can also contain birch sap.
It is also advantageous to also add essential oils, for example essence of juniper, laurel, rosemary, turpentine, thyme etc.
The hair growth agent according to the invention is preferably prepared in the form of an ointment or a dye. For this purpose, the usual excipients are used in pharmaceutical practice. The proportion of such an excipient can be about 20 to 60% by weight.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The other constituents are preferably contained in the following amounts: - goat butter 2 to 15% in particular 5 to 10% by weight, - testicular material 2 to 10% and in particular 5 to 7% by weight, - placental material 0 , 5 to 5% and in particular 1 to 3% by weight
EMI3.1
- birch 0 to 30% and in particular 10 to 20% by weight, - ethanol 0 to 40% and in particular 20 to 30% by weight, - essential oils 0 to 10% and in particular 2 to 6% by weight.
In addition, the hair growth agent according to the invention may contain constituents customary in pharmaceutical practice, for example diluents and preservatives. As a preservative, methyl para-hydroxybenzoate is suitable.
The application of the hair growth agent is preferably carried out as follows: one begins by massaging the scalp dry for about fifteen minutes with a hair brush, then the preparation is applied in a thin layer on the scalp and it is penetrated for about two to five minutes by rubbing with the fingertips, for the next three hours, the head should not be washed, this process takes place once a day, the duration of treatment is usually four weeks, then you can apply additional supportive treatment, one to two times a week, for a maximum of six months.
The example and the experiments carried out in practice explain the invention.
EXAMPLE: an ointment is prepared starting from the following constituents: - goat butter 7.5 grams - extract of bovine testes, aqueous at 1.14: 1 6 - extract of bovine placenta free of estrogens, aqueous 1.15 : 1 2 "
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>

After ten days, you can see the first signs of hair regrowth, after about ten weeks, the entire scalp is covered with hair two to three centimeters in length.
2nd Subject: a thirty-year-old man, partially bald, begins treatment when the hair on the side begins to fall too. After four days, the hair loss stops and after ten days, new hair grows.
3rd Subject: a partially bald male subject of thirty two years is treated in the same way as the second subject. We get the same result.
4th Subject: in a partially bald thirty-six year old man, after thirty days of treatment a new hair growth of one to two centimeters in length appears.
5th Subject: a partially bald twenty-seven year old man finds, after four weeks of treatment, full hair with a length of up to two centimeters.
6th Subject: the agent according to the invention treats a fifty-year-old woman with large bald areas. After nine days of treatment, the first signs of hair growth appear.
After four weeks, the hair is completely regenerated.
7th Subject: in a woman of fifty five years, the hair has completely fallen in places.
We perform the same treatment as for the 6th subject and we obtain the same result.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Besides the hair, it is also possible, with the agent according to the invention, to regenerate the growth of the eyebrows.
The above experiments were partly accompanied by medical examinations during which no side effects or modifications were observed, in particular in the blood count. Thus, the application of this very visible agent appears without drawbacks.
