<EMI ID=1.1>
- la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'un des coins d'un cadre passe-partout assemblé suivant l'invention;
- la figure 2 est une vue en coupe longitudinale des profilés formant un coin du cadre illustré à la figure 1 ;
1 et 2;
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=4.1>

: The assembly of the corners of a master frame The invention relates to a master key frame having edges made of metal or light alloy profiles or synthetic material, obtained by extrusion or by spinning and assembled by swaging to form a rectangular frame and possibly comprising a glass as well as a removable base at will to receive a photograph, a painting or a sketch, the profiles being connected together by means of corner fittings mounted at each end of the above profiles.
It relates in particular to a frame to be assembled oneself, the bottom of which can be opened to receive successively various patterns to be framed. The dimensions of the frame can be easily modified, because each of the edges of the frame can be fully assembled and disassembled at will.
We know from Belgian patent No 848 854
master frames comprising profiled strips of elastic material assembled together by means of corner fittings, three of which are fixed and the fourth of which is removably mounted so as to allow the exchange of patterns in a simple and fast, while ensuring assembly of the frame by recess with perfectly adjusted edges.
These known frames must be constructed with great precision. Among other things, the mounting of the fourth corner connector, which is pivotally mounted at the end of a profiled strip, is difficult to achieve.
Each strip must also include a flange intended to accommodate a notch in a corner connection. This bar must be mounted in a profile groove laterally on the inside of the frame.
In addition, it is necessary to provide inside the groove of each strip protrusions arranged on the side walls of each groove. These contingencies
make the production of frame borders more difficult and more expensive.
The object of the present invention is to simplify the construction as well as the mounting of the frames while improving the interchangeability of the various elements and maintaining the possibility of combining borders of different lengths.
.
It relates to a master key frame having edges made of metal or light alloy or synthetic material profiles, obtained by extrusion or by spinning and assembled by recess to form a rectangular frame and possibly comprising a glass and a bottom removable at will to receive a photograph, a painting or a sketch, the profiles being interconnected by means of corner fittings mounted at each end of the above profiles. This frame is essentially characterized in that the corner connections each consist of a square, the two branches of which are provided at each of their free ends with a flange
<EMI ID = 1.1>
each of the above profiles and are detachable.
<EMI ID = 2.1> at least one of the above folded edges is provided with a lever enabling it to be moved. The above bracket is advantageously made of polypropylene.
In one embodiment, each of the sections has a hollow core of substantially rectangular section, an inner face of which has, in the vicinity of one end of the section, an orifice in an edge of which one of the abovementioned corner fittings grips.
The invention also relates to a metal or light alloy or synthetic material profile used to make the master key frame described above, essentially characterized in that it includes a right angle angle including a first branch constituting the wall of the frame, has at one end a protruding folded at 90 [deg.] containing the anterior edge of the frame and intended to maintain
in place a glazing optionally made of transparent synthetic material and a second branch of which constitutes one of the sides of a hollow core possibly of rectangular section having an orifice on an edge of which a rim of one of the abovementioned corner fittings abuts.
Other particularities and details of the invention will become apparent during the description of the appended drawings which show schematically and without limitation, two embodiments of pairs of complementary profiles according to the invention.
In these drawings:
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of one of the corners of a master key frame assembled according to the invention;
- Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the profiles forming a corner of the frame illustrated in Figure 1;
- Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of a profile constituting an edge of the frame shown in the figures
1 and 2;
- Figure 4 is a perspective view of a corner connector.
In these figures, the same notations of
reference designate analogous or identical elements.
As illustrated in Figure 1, a particular embodiment of one of the corners of the master key frame
1 is constituted by the assembly by kissing of two sections
<EMI ID = 3.1>
an angle 3 including a first branch constituting the
side wall of frame 1 has one end one
protruding 4 folded at 90 [deg.] constituting the front edge of the frame 1. This protruding delimits a rebate 5 intended to receive a glazing 6, a pattern, to frame and a frame background. This bottom is removable and is usually made of strong cardboard. The glazing 6 usually consists of a window, a glass or a plate of transparent synthetic material, possibly non-reflecting. A second branch constitutes one of the sides 7 of a hollow core 8 possibly of rectangular section having an orifice 9 on an edge 10 from which abuts a flange 11 of a corner connector 12 intended
<EMI ID = 4.1>
angle 12 consists of a bracket 13, the two branches of which are provided at each of their free ends with an elastic flange 14 folded at an angle of 180 [deg.] intended
gripping each of the profiles 2, 2 'at the location of the edge 10 that has the orifice 9 formed in the hollow core preferably of rectangular section. These corner fittings 12 are all identical and completely detachable.
To spare the orifice 9 having the edge 10, one drills, in the vicinity of each end of each of the profiles 2, 2 ', at a well-determined distance from this end
<EMI ID = 5.1> a hole perpendicular to the plane of the frame 1. This hole will pierce any edge of the rear face of the
frame 1, as well as the rim delimiting the bottom
of the frame rebate, background on which the motif rests
to frame and the glass. This hole will not, however, pierce beyond 4 of the frame.
In order to be able to easily introduce the corner connector 12 into an orifice 9 formed in the inner face of the above-mentioned hollow core 8, at least one of the remote flanges 11 of the corner connector 12 is provided with a lever
15 allowing it to be moved. The bracket 13 constituting the corner connector 12 is advantageously made of polypropylene. The thickness of each of the branches is chosen so as to obtain a certain rigidity. Moreover, for this same purpose, the bracket 13 is reinforced by a spacer 16.
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiments shown and that many modifications can be made to the shape, dimensions and arrangement of the profiles.
implemented .
Thus, the profiles according to the invention can be assembled together by embouchement at an angle different from the right angle, for example at an angle equal to 60 [deg.] In order to form a frame having the shape of a regular hexagon .
Instead of an aluminum or light metal alloy, the profiles can be made of synthetic material, and more particularly of polyvinyl chloride which is transformed by extrusion or by direct or indirect spinning.
