Abstract

The mechanism is intended for dry mixing cement etc. with ballast (on a building site). It comprises a silo with downwardly converging lower end (2) and containing two separate compartments (5,6) for ballast (5) and for cement (6). The compartment (5) has a bottom outlet to a driven (11) transport auger (9) feeding a downstream mixer unit (10) whilst the compartment (6) has a bottom outlet with driven (14) transport auger (12) whose outlet is connected (13) to the inlet end of the mixer. The auger (9) may be driven (11) at constant speed whilst the speed of the auger (12) drive (14) is variable to control the mixing ratio. FL.
