"Warmtewisselaar, meer bepaald konvector".
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een warmtewisselaar,
<EMI ID=1.1>
buizen, rond of ovaal, waarvan de vrije uiteinden uitmonden in
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=4.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>
<EMI ID=6.1>

<EMI ID=13.1>
<EMI ID=15.1>

<EMI ID=21.1>

"Heat exchanger, more precisely convector".
The invention relates to a heat exchanger,

is provided for a heat exchanging fluid.
The main object of the invention is a standard
<EMI ID = 3.1>
Can be adapted in a very simple manner to different mounting designs on the supply and discharge pipes of heat exchanging liquids.
For this purpose, a chamber is provided in at least one of the collectors, into which a part of said pipes discharge and
<EMI ID = 4.1>
<EMI ID = 5.1>
such that this supply and / or discharge opening can be communicated with both the inner space of the collector and that of the chamber.
In a particular embodiment of the invention, the chamber is formed by a docs-shaped hood which is mounted against the inner wall of the relevant collector in which
<EMI ID = 6.1>
chamber opening and the opposite opening in the collector.
In a more specific embodiment of the invention, a monotube shut-off valve is mounted on the opening of the collector opposite the opening provided in the chamber wall, this valve communicating, on the one hand, with the collector and on the other hand, with the collector. room.
Other particularities and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a particular embodiment of the heat exchanger according to the invention and of some specific mounting applications thereof.
This description is given by way of example only and in no way limits the scope of the invention; the reference numbers used here relate to the attached figures.

Figure 4 represents another circuit of the same heat exchanger using a special connector according to the invention. Figure 5 represents yet another circuit of the same heat exchanger with a monotube shut-off valve.
In these different figures, like reference numbers refer to the same or analogous elements.
The heat exchanger represented in the figures relates in particular to a convector around which a casing, not shown, is mounted for producing an air flow to be heated across the heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger represented in the figures consists of two rows of three tubes located one above the other and which are equally
<EMI ID = 12.1>
collectors 5 and 6 into which the free ends of these pipes open.
Two openings 7 and 8 are provided in the collector 5 with connecting pieces 10 and 11 provided with internally threaded connections on the outside thereof.
The collector 6 has in addition to an analogue opening 12 with connection piece 13 .. a closable vent opening 14.
<EMI ID = 13.1>
provide blades or ribs 15 equally spaced across these tubes.
According to the invention, in the collector 5 is opposite
the corresponding free ends of. the tubes 3 and 3 ', a chamber
16 provided in such a way that these tubes actually discharge into this chamber. The latter has an opening 17 which is located opposite the opening 8 in the wall of the collector 5 at a certain distance from the latter. This opening 17 is circular like the opening 8 and coaxial with the latter.
The chamber 17 is formed by a box-shaped hood 18, the edges 19 of which are welded to the inner wall 20 of the collector 5, into which the various tubes open.
The diameter of the opening 17 is slightly smaller
than that of the opening 8.
In figure 3 a mounting embodiment of this heat exchanger is presented according to which the heat-exchanging flow, which preferably consists of a liquid, more specifically water is formed, travels in the same direction through all its tubes as indicated by the arrows 21. In this case, the heat exchanger is connected to a supply pipe 22 which penetrates the connecting piece 11 opposite the opening 8 and the discharge takes place through the opening 12. through a pipe 23.
The opening 7 is closed by means of plug 24 which is screwed into the connecting piece 10.
In this mounting example, the chamber fulfills 16 in
in fact completely the same function as the collector 5 itself.
Figure 4 shows a second mounting example of this
<EMI ID = 14.1> installation suggested.
In this embodiment, use is made of a tubular connecting piece 26, also referred to as a directing tube, which is arranged between the opening 17 and the opposite opening 8. The outer wall of this connecting piece is tapered and has a collar 27 at its widest outer edge.
In order to ensure a sufficient seal between this connector and the edges of the openings 8 and 17, it is made of plastic which is sufficiently heat resistant.
In this mounting example, the opening 7 is connected to the return pipe 23 while the opening 12 is closed by a plug 24.
As indicated by the arrows 21 and 21 'indicated in figure 4, a completely different flow pattern of the heat-exchanging liquid is obtained in this way.
This flows from the supply line 22, on which a shut-off valve 28 is provided, through the connecting piece 26 into the
<EMI ID = 15.1>
to flow the tubes 1 and 1 'to the collector 6 and be returned in the opposite direction, as indicated by arrows
<EMI ID = 16.1>
to be discharged through the opening 7 along the conduit 23.
<EMI ID = 17.1>
heat exchanger according to the invention, wherein use was made of a connecting piece 26 of which the part of the wall situated between the openings 8 and 17 has passage openings 29 to the collector 5.
! Furthermore, a monotube shut-off valve is placed on the opening 8
<EMI ID = 18.1>
thing 23 are connected.
As schematically represented in Figure 5, the supply line 22, through the tap 28, opens into the connector 26, while the drain line 23 departs from the chamber 16 and extends through the connector 26 coaxially with the supply line 22. Thanks to the latter, a sufficient seal is obtained between the opening 17 and this discharge pipe 23, while thanks to the passage openings 29 the supply pipe 22 is directly connected to the collector 5, as indicated by arrows 30.
In this embodiment, the openings become 7 and 12
both closed by a plug 24. Thus, the heat-exchanging liquid from the supply line 22 flows first into the collector 5, then in parallel through the tubes 2 and 3 as well as through the two above these not visible in the figures.
<EMI ID = 19.1>
by arrows 21, then through the tube 1 and the top
<EMI ID = 20.1>
<EMI ID = 21.1>
The invention is of course by no means limited to the embodiment described above, both with regard to the construction of the heat exchanger and the mounting of the latter in the circuit of the heating installation.
For example, the connector in fig.

drain pipe 23 and the edge of the opening 17.
The number of tubes that make up the heat exchanger can also be very diverse. This is also the case for the ratio of the pipes that flow into the chamber 16 and those that flow directly into the collector 5.
