<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
(figure 2) commandée par un moto-réducteur 15.
<EMI ID=4.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>
<EMI ID=6.1>
<EMI ID=7.1>

Driven roller table band saw.
The present invention relates to band saws with table with driven rollers intended
to be used more particularly for the so-called "second flow" work in order to cut trays
in boards, rafters etc. and in order to perform the edging against the guide of any part.
The aim is to allow, by means of a simple and reliable device, simultaneous adjustment of the height position of the blade guide and the pressure roller.
<EMI ID = 1.1>
correct cementation of the products to be sawed by a simple design adjustment of the pressure roller inclination.
In order to achieve these goals,
the saw, object of the invention, differs essentially in that a device is provided which comprises
a horizontal support arranged perpendicular to the direction of advance of the plates and able to move vertically, generally along a threaded rod and in that on this support is mounted on the one hand
a fixed arm carrying a blade guide located above
of the table and on the other hand an arm also mounted
on this support and being able to pivot about an axis integral with the support, this arm carrying a grooved roller
whose axis is parallel to the axis of the table rollers.
In order to make the invention fully understood, an exemplary embodiment thereof will be described below with reference to the drawings in which:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the machine which is the subject of the invention. Figure 2 is an elevational view of the machine. Figure 3 is a plan view of the machine. Figure 4 is a side view of the machine. FIG. 5 is a detailed view of the device for adjusting the presser and / or drive roller. Figure 5A is a section through the line
A-A in figure 5.
The machine comprises a frame 1 in which are mounted in a known manner a drive motor
(not shown) the blade holder pulleys 2 <1> (of which a willow tree is shown) over which the blade 2 passes
saw  ribbon.
3 shows the protective cap or the closing cover and 4 the closing doors.
At the front of the frame 1 are the infeed table 5 with free smooth rollers 7 and the table
outlet 6 which comprises smooth rollers in two parts or elements 8-10 of which the inner part 8
(the one on the side of the frame) is driven at constant speed by a geared motor group 9 (FIG. 2) and chain transmission.
These inner rollers 8 which serve to evacuate the products which have been sawn are driven in the direction of the sawing advance using free sprockets in order to allow these rollers to adapt.
at sawing speed at the time of cutting. This cutting speed is generally higher than the discharge speed of the sawn products.
10 elements of rollers are mounted
so that it can turn freely in both directions.

outlet can be mounted so that it swings upwards to free up the passage in case of replacement of the band saw blade.
According to the invention, a device is provided (general reference 12, FIG. 2) which <EMI ID = 3.1>
to the direction of advance of the plates and able to move vertically along a threaded rod 14
(figure 2) controlled by a gear motor 15.
On this support 13 is mounted on the one hand a fixed arm 16 (Figure 3) carrying a blade guide 17 located
<EMI ID = 4.1>
<EMI ID = 5.1>
<EMI ID = 6.1>
a grooved roller 20 whose axis is parallel to the axis of the rollers 7-8-10 of the table.
This roller 20 can act as a pressure roller and / or a drive roller.
In the first case, training takes place
by the table rollers located below the roller 20.
In the second case, autonomous drive means are provided, formed in the example shown
by a hydraulic motor 21 (figure 4) with variable flow
connected by a chain 22 and fixed pinion 23 (or belt and pulley) to the axis 24 of the roller 20.
The pressure roller is therefore integral with the blade guide arm so that the latter is always very
near the part to be debited. ,
An important characteristic of the invention is that in order to maintain the parallelism of the roller 20 with respect to the table, provision is made for this roller to be adjusted in all directions.
This adjustment is essential to ensure the correct advance of the pieces to be sawed.
It is obtained (figures 5 and 5A) thanks to the mounting of the axis 24 in two bearings with roller bearings 25-27.
The bearing 25 located on the side of the roller 20
is held by a fixed ring 26 integral with the arm 18.
_..........
The bearing 27 is mounted in a device comprising two rings: an inner ring 28 having an inner bore concentric with respect to the axis 24 and an eccentric periphery; while the outer ring 29 has an eccentric inner bore and a concentric outer diameter.
By positioning one ring relative to the other, it is possible to give the axis 24 an orientation in all directions.
The outer ring 29 is provided with a peripheral notch 30 enabling the inner ring 28 to be immobilized using a tightening screw 31.
Another tightening screw 32 makes it possible to immobilize the outer ring 29.
Support 13 which carries the blade guide
17 and the pressure and / or drive roller 20 can be automatically positioned in height by a feeler
33 (figure 1) which is mounted on the underside
of the support 18 in the axis and at a distance relatively close to the blade 2.
Advantageously, this feeler 33 may have the form of a plate thus capable of protecting the operator against unfortunate contact with the teeth of the blade 2.
On the other hand, a contactor valve 34
(figure 1) is provided between the rollers 7 of the table
5 near and in front of the blade 2. This switch is in conjunction with the hydraulic motor control
21 in order to reverse the direction of rotation at the end of
sawing and allow the wood to be sawed to be brought back to the operator by the grooved roller 20.
<EMI ID = 7.1>
side 35 with rollers mounted vertically.
This guide 35 has the particularity that it is controlled by a single cylinder 36 and a hydraulic cylinder 37.
The movement of this guide can be programmed by an electronic preselection device 38 determining the different successive thicknesses that it is desired to obtain.
The operation is as follows:
The table or any other piece to be sawed is first placed on the rollers 7 of the infeed table 5.
The operator then advances this plate manually along the lateral guide 35 and then
to the saw blade 2.
By moving the plate is brought into contact with the contactor valve 33; the latter is actuated and rotates the pressure roller and / or drive 20 at a rotational speed adjusted as a function of the desired cutting speed.
In the event that the blade guide support 13 is adjusted to a too low position, the front edge of the plate abuts against the feeler 33 and the latter actuates the geared motor 15; this causes the support 13 to rise until the probe 33 does not
either more in contact with the plate.
At this time the blade guide is positioned correctly while the roller 20 remains in a position lower than the upper surface of the wood.
When the table is pushed further the roller 20 rises to the upper surface of the wood thanks to the swivel arm 18 while the roller
20 then drives the table during the sawing operation. This drive is therefore carried out by the hydraulic motor 21 and the own weight of the assembly: arm
18, motor 21 and the roller 20 which rests on the upper surface of the wood.
At the end of the sawing operation and when the rear edge of the plate releases the valve
34 the rotation of the hydraulic pump 21 is reversed and the roller 20 automatically and at high speed returns the saw table towards the operator, while
that the sawn product continues its evacuation movement thanks to the rollers 8 driven by the geared motor 9.
