Abstract

Very pure heavy metals and bromine are recovered from a mother liquor obtd. by separating terephthalic acid from arriving at the casting hole. The casting hole is surrounded by an annular channel-shaped hollow whose bottom is below the level of the upper edge of the casting hole, and an annular wall projects downwardly into the hollow without touching the bottom of the hollow at all points.
