Abstract
Derivs of formula (I) (where R1 is halogen, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, CN, phenyl or SO3H and R2 and R3 are H, halogen, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, CN or SO3H, or R1 R2 is methylenedioxy; R4 is H or 1-4C alkyl; R5 is H, halogen, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy R6 is H, 1-4C alkyl, or phenyl opt. substd. by Cl, 1-4C alkyl or SO3H; and A is phenylene or 1-4C alkylene opt. substd. by 1-4C alkyl) and their salts are esp. suitable as optical brighteners for nylon 6 and nylon 66. (I) may be prepd. by e.g. reacting cpds. of formula (II) with cpds. of formula (III).
