Abstract

Plastics film wrapper has a tear tape sealed along each edge to the film by an edge to edge seam. The strength of the heat seal, and the tensile strength of the film and tear tape, are such that the wrapper tears along the heat seals, or the film immediately adjacent thereto, when a peeling force is applied to the tape. Pref. the tear tape is of the same material as the wrapper but of thicker gauge.
