Abstract

Double filter bag comprises two or more coaxial tubular bags with an annular space between them and with an annular filter wall bridging between the two bags and thus sealing across this annular space, pref. at the upstream end of the filter, the other end of the inner bag pref. the downstream end, is sealed by a permeable disc-shaped wall, and the other end of the outer bag is mounted in the filtering system, esp. in a vessel or pipe contg. one bag. The arrangement provides two coaxial cylindrical filtering surfaces in a single filter, the air flowing radially outwards through the inner one and radially inwards through the outer one in its longitudinal passage through the filter.
