Abstract

A non-return valve (NRV) operated by a separate piston is connected in the exhaust pipe of the post cooler the piston being connected on one side to the feed/HP side of that exhaust pipe while its other side is connected to the delivery side of the post cooler pump which follows that exhaust pipe and is downstream of the NRV. A valve controlled pressure equalisation pipe may join the exhaust pipe and the suction side of the pump.
