Abstract
The adhesive, which is applied to the final 3 mm at each end of the loop is not soluble in water, preserving the garment's appearance after repeated washing. If the loop contains an element of thermoplastic fibres, the ends are sealed by heat. When dry, the ends are folded over to allow the loops to be sewn to the waist band in the normal way.
