Abstract

Hydrophilic acrylonitrile polymers, esp. contng. sulphonate gps., obtd. by soln. polymerisation in DMF are spun into aqs. coagulation baths contng. 40-65% DMF. The spinning soln. concn. is pref. 21-25 wt. % and the ratio of spinning soln. concn. (in wt. %) and coagulation bath temp. (in degree C) is 0.6-2.1, and starting from spinning soln. concn. of 21% with increasing of the concn. the lower limit of the coagulation bath temp. is increased 5 degrees C and the upper limit 2 degrees C. Preferred polymer contains besides acrylonitrile up to 1k wt. % (meth)acrylate ester and/or 0.5-1.8 wt. % vinyl, alkyl or methalkyl sulphonic acid or sulphoalkyl-(meth)acrylate or their organic or inorganic salts having viscosity 1.95 plus- or minus- 0.1 at 20 degrees C in 0.5% DMF.
