Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Bouteille destinée à contenir notamment du vin.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

  Bottle intended to contain wine in particular.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   The present invention relates to a bottle intended in particular to contain wine.

   The known bottles used to contain wine or a similar liquid have their completely cylindrical side face. Because of this, these. Known bottles can be placed on a horizontal surface without the risk of rolling over it, only when they are resting there from their bottom.

   The present invention relates to a new bottle of this kind which is more functional and easier to use than the previous ones. ,
For this purpose, the bottle according to the invention has a lateral laying base by which it can be supported in a stable manner on a horizontal surface while then having its axis inclined simultaneously @ backwards and towards the pitch. In this way, this new bottle can be placed on a horizontal surface in two different ways: on the one hand by its

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 bottom for storage and on the other hand by its side laying base.

   In this latter position, the new bottle is in substantially the same position as a conventional bottle placed in a suitable basket.

   Therefore, thanks to the presence of its side-laying base, the new bottle can be stored and placed on a table in the same tilted position) and transported and handled with a minimum of changes of position.

   According to a particular feature of the invention, the new bottle has two lateral projections extending from its bottom towards its neck and forming its lateral laying base.

   In order to facilitate its lateral gripping, the. new bottle has two shallow cavities arranged on either side of its side laying base. in particular of the two side projections of its parai.

   Other details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description of the drawings appended hereto, which represent schematically and by way of example only, one embodiment of the invention.

   Figure 1 is a side view of a bottle according to the invention placed in an inclined position.

   FIG. 2 is a cross section of this bottle taken according to plan II - II of the previous figure.

   Figure 3 is a rear view of the same bottle. ,.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   In these different figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.

   The bottle shown is used to contain wine.

    ..

   This bottle has a bottom 1, a side face 2 and a neck 3.

   According to the inventive idea, the lateral face 2 has a lateral laying base 4 by which it can rest, on a horizontal surface 5, in an inclined position in which its axis is simultaneously directed towards the rear, that is to say - say on the side of its bottom 1 and down, that is to say on the side of this horizontal surface 5.

   In this inclined position, the axis of the bottle substantially coincides with that of a conventional bottle with a completely cylindrical side face, which would be placed in a suitable basket resting on said horizontal surface 5.

   In the embodiment shown, the side laying base 4 of the bottle is formed by two side projections 6 which extend from its bottom 1 towards its neck 3. As can be seen in the figures, the side projections 6 are separated from each other by a slight indentation 7.

   To facilitate the gripping of the bottle, the lateral face 2 thereof has two shallow cavities 8 which are located respectively near the lateral projections 6 and on either side thereof.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

   Thus produced, the bottle still has on its side face 2, a sufficient cylindrical surface opposite to its side laying base 4 and intended to carry. a label 9.

   It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiment shown and that many modifications can be made in the form, the arrangement and the constitution of certain of the elements involved in its realization, provided that these modifications are not inconsistent with the purpose of each of the following claims.
