<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
' du au fait que la machine est solidaire du traoteur et que c'est uniquement au moyen de la direction du traoteur que l'on peut diriger le dispositif de binage et du au fait que la distance entre la position de l'opérateur et les organes de binage étant Importante, le déportement de
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Figure 2 est une vue en plan.
Une machine agricole conforme à l'invention
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>

Improvements to agricultural machinery coupled to a tower trac, such as cultivators.
The present invention relates to agricultural machinery coupled to a tractor. Its main object is a tractor hoe, but it can be applied to other agricultural machines of this type, such as planters, cutters, fork-pickers, etc.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Particularly in the case of cultivators, two embodiments are currently known, depending on the
EMI2.1
pramiere, the cultivator arranged lla = iêrt of the tractor and adapting to the three points. hydraulic lift of the latter permanently requires two people to operate the hoeing work. One ept installed on the tractor seat for the. driving it and the other on a seat adapted to the bineuae to direct the * movements of the maohine in the spaces.
This kind of work is not carried out in a slow way by a speed ..., reduced in advance of the traotor, the operator responsible for directing the Dîneuse in the spaces having a reduced view of the plantation by the tractor, which is in front of him. Its role is to correct each deviation of the tractor via the screw of the cultivator by means of a steering wheel or a handlebar, a slight deviation of the traotor causing an incorrect operation contrary to the correct functioning of the machine.
The second embodiment consists of a cultivator adapted to the front of the tractor. In this case, the cultivator is fixed and directed only by the tractor driver, which causes significant drawbacks such as: very slow forward speed due to the fact that the operator sitting on the tractor seat cannot operate with little precision due to the distance which separates it from the hoeing devices and because it has the view of the plantation and the hoeing devices partially hidden by the front of the tractor, lack of precision.
'' due to the fact that the machine is integral with the traotor and that it is only by means of the direction of the traotor that one can direct the hoeing device and due to the fact that the distance between the position of the operator and the hoeing devices being important, the offset of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
this one acts according to an arc of a circle in relation to the traotor, and lateral displacement of the cultivator impossible.
With such a cultivator, despite the advantage that the work is done with one man, the disadvantages are very significant. To remedy these various drawbacks * of a work which is not very profitable from the point of view of quality and from the point of view of labor, it is proposed to produce a cultivator, or any other agricultural machine of this kind, coupled to a tractor, according to the invention.
According to the invention, the agricultural machine coupled to a tractor and adapted to the front thereof is characterized in that the control of * working tools of the machine and the control of said tractor are made from said machine by a single operator mounted on it.
Again according to the invention, the movements * of the machine and the tractor are in perfect synchronization and all the controlled% are within the reach of the operator on the machine. The lateral movement to be given to the machine at work in order to follow the interlines is in direct relation with the direction of the tractor and, in the raised position of the machine, the direction control acts directly and only on the direction of the traotor,
Other characteristics of the invention are further described below in the description of a cultivator in accordance with the invention.
To better understand the invention, it is shown by way of example only in the drawings in the representation of a tractor hoe, including:
Figure 1 is a side elevational view, and
Figure 2 is a plan view.
An agricultural machine according to the invention
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
can be installed on the front of any agricultural tractor on four wheels equipped with a hydraulic lift ,,
As can be seen in the drawing, the utility tractor is only represented by its front wheel T in interrupted draft. The cultivator comprises a frame or main Chinese arranged horizontally, built in tubular section and composed of two side members 1 and two cross members 2.
them will go along 1 mount provided at the rear, that is to say on the tractor side, with a vortically embedded plate 3, carrying at the bottom * a stirrup 4 to receive a pin 5 forming a body with a special female 6- ' ment suitable for its attachment to the front of the Chinese utility tractor. At their front part, beyond the front cross member 2, the side rails 1 widen out and are connected at their end by a tubular section 7, on which is slid on each side beyond the Chinese 1,2. a clamping bracket 8 itself carrying a support bracket 9 for a wheel 10.
In this way the frame is supported at the rear on the tractor by the journals * 5 and at the front by the wheels 10. The spacing and inclination of the wheels 10 can be adjusted as desired. depending on the work to be done, it suffices to adjust the position of the clamping brackets 8 on the tubular section 7.
The plates 3 are provided * at the top of a series of perforations 3 'for the connection with the control rod t of the hydraulic system of the tractor by means of an adjustment bracket 11, in order to be able to raise all the Chinese machine for transport or for end-of-line turning in the field.
Two U-shaped sleepers 12, spaced apart and
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the openings of which are directed towards one another, are arranged under the side members 1 in the vicinity of the front cross member 2. These cross members 12 serve as a track * of rolling for a steering carriage 13 supported by three rollers 14 slightly conical mounted on needle bearings. This same carriage is guided by guiding gaiety 15.
Adequate tool is adapted to this lateral displacement steering carriage or carrier carriage. In the drawing, since it is a cultivator, the carriage 13 carries by means of a steering ramp 16 and arms 16 'a tool-holder frame 17 designed in width and in length to allow it to receive all the standard set of parallelograms of an X row cultivator. Usually it is six or twelve rows; in the latter case, a three-piece tool-holder frame is provided, the outer parts of which are foldable and can be folded up on the central frame 1, 2 for transport. The drawing has not been shown the set of parallelograms.
Instead of the device for hoeing, it is possible to adapt on the frame 17 monogerm planters, a nitrogen burying system, a corn planter, a potato planter, a botteras ves divider, a collecting fork. bales, fodder, flax, eto., an angledozer to level the land or any other suitable tools.
An adjustment screw 18 bearing on the steering carriage 13 makes it possible to give an adequate position to the skimmers in the working position by correcting the inclination thereof and maintaining this tilting throughout the hoeing operation.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Sideways to one of the side members * 1 and above! of the corresponding front wheel of the tractor is adapted a seat 19 for the operator, who has within his reach tome the control levers of the machine at the same time as of the tractor (control of the hydraulic lift, brake, accelerator, clutch, change of speeds, direction) *
The steering is rack and pinion type with flywheel 20.
This rack-and-pinion motion acts on the steering carriage 13 to give the cultivator at work the lateral movement intended to follow the interlines and is in direct relation with the direction of the tractor, it therefore commands the direction of the tractor to make the movement essential for qu 'it follows the displacement given to the cultivator and there is thus perfect synchronization of the two movements. In the raised position of the cultivator, a needle ball joint 21 in relation to the steering carriage 13 by a ter U 22 engages a shaped part 23 'mounted on an adaptation part 23 to the coupling bar. plement of the tractor and it thus has a direct action thereon, which favors the maneuvering of the tractor during its rotation while freeing the lateral movement of the tool-holder carriage.
In the working position of the bineuee, this ball 21 is released from the part 23 '(as shown in the drawing) * A directional arm 24 mounted under the adaptation part 23 being held in a fork 25 fixed to the iron U 22, the flywheel 20 then controls the lateral movement of the tool holder while correcting the angle of the tractor wheels. It should also be noted that, in this position, compared to the normal pitch of the tractor, the synchronization of the lateral displacement of the cultivator and of the direction of the tractor is multiplied, which allows very high precision to follow at most.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
near the plants and on the other hand a faster forward speed than with existing types of cultivators.
It was stated above that all the control levers of the machine and the tractor are within the reach of a single man sitting on the seat 19 mounted on the agriole machine. The drawings thus show the speed control lever 26, the clutch control rod 27, the accelerator extension 28, the brake control rod 29.
A precision agricultural machine such as a bineuae produced according to the invention has the advantage that it is driven, hoeing with its traotor, by a single man placed on said machine near the work tools, hence a perfect visibility of the operator for the precision work he has to perform, and that the movements of the cultivator and the tractor are in perfect synchronization. When it comes to road travel or to turn at the end of the line, by means of the hydraulic control, the device is placed in the raised position and the steering control automatically acts directly on the steering of the traotor.
Therefore, any movement given to the steering control acts only on the steering of the tractor, which operates according to its normal pitch. While, when the device is lowered by means of the hydraulic control, the steering automatically resumes its reduced step for work. It is always possible for the operator to sit on the tractor seat to control all movements and mainly for road transport.
The hoeing work can be improved by
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
placing on the side arm of the hydraulic lift of the tractor a bar with a hole of the same width as the six-row hoeing device or doubts. If we place a bar for twelve rows, they will be of the same design as the ineuse, that is to say with the foldable outer sides.
At this bar with holes and opposite the parallelograms. of the cultivator, small rollers and harrows * are fitted behind this * rollers. the rollers have the effect of crushing the clods. soil, while harrows dig out the weeds% and bitter them with their roots to the surface of the soil.
Of course, the cultivator shown for the intended use is only by way of example and one would not depart from the field of the invention by making one or the other constructive modification.
