"CONVOYEUR POUR STRATIFICATIONS ALLANT DE
EMI1.1
LA PENTE b4D AU DHES8AliTft.-
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>
<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>
<Desc/Clms Page number 12>

<Desc/Clms Page number 14>
<Desc/Clms Page number 15>
<Desc/Clms Page number 16>
<Desc/Clms Page number 17>
<Desc/Clms Page number 18>
<Desc/Clms Page number 19>

"CONVEYOR FOR STRATIFICATIONS FROM

THE b4D SLOPE AT DHES8AliTft.-
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In mining, tray conveyors are frequently used as transport devices for stratifications ranging from moderate slope to straightening.
A tray conveyor is already known, the conveyor gutter of which has an angled upright of the backfill c8t4 and a guide device for an extraction machine on the face side of the cut. In the conveyor gutter is arranged a part of the rotating conveyor member and constitutes by the plates fixed to a chain.
Such a 4-plate conveyor makes it possible to use extraction machines working either by cutting or by planing and of which the coal plane is part, which was not possible until now, for stratifications ranging from plane to plane. the moderate slope, only with the aid of the so-called scraper and double chain conveyors, capable of absorbing the necessary support pressure of the extraction machine in the row of gutters.
On the other hand, such a tray conveyor is not without drawbacks. It is undoubtedly possible to use the tray conveyor to some extent also for transporting supplies, but transporting supplies can only be done from top to bottom and not vice versa. This implies that the supplies to be transported to the operation are delivered to the upper gallery, which, as we know, involves difficulties. Difficulties also arise from the fact that the gutters become comparatively heavy as a result of the guiding device attached to the gutters on the face face side.
Sufficient guying of the conveyor against slipping is thus made
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
more difficult, in addition to which the row of gutters becomes so heavy that it cannot be pulled upwards. As a result, the assembly or disassembly of the conveyor gutters from an installed row of gutters is practically excluded. On the other hand, the assembly and disassembly of conveyor gutters is often necessary, when the conveyor gutter has to bear on variable lengths of fronts of size likely to result from geological conditions.
To overcome these difficulties in the transport of supplies, it has already been proposed to use the tray conveyors only for the transport of supplies, while a scraper and double chain conveyor mounted parallel to the trays is. connected to these, said conveyor being intended to transport the coal. This separation of the transport by two parallel transport units gives rise to disproportionate width spans which can only be controlled with difficulty. In addition, such a transport installation is not suitable for stratifications ranging from the steep slope to the straightening, oar the double chain squeegee conveyor only comes into play for layering from flat to moderate slope.
Finally, conveyors are known consisting of a conveyor gutter, in which slowing pallets mounted movably articulated on one of the uprights of the gutter are provided as transport members. Said retarder vanes are pretensioned in the direction of the opposite angled upright and move apart at a corresponding end under the pressure of the transported materials.
Such conveyors are undoubtedly suitable for stratifications ranging from steep slope to straightening, but they do not allow
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
not to transport supplies, as the deflection of the retarder pallets involves set pressures that the varying weights of the materials cannot produce or the weights of the materials become large to the point that the retarder pallets move out of control, the materials slipping then freely through the conveyor gutter.
In cases where quarrying machines and in particular charcoal planers are used on such conveyors, a guide for the planer body is fixed, as is known, on the gutters on the side. cutting face. The body of the plane then slides along the guide and also rests by its weight on the list. This requires, on known conveyors, an additional security for the planer using a sword which passes under the gutters.
The known conveyors also have the disadvantage that it is necessary to provide a planing path between the face 'of size and the gutters to allow the passage of the body of the planer less the width of its blades and of the guide which can be formed. for example, by guide tubes. This planing track presents, in terms of support technique, a considerable drawback, oar the transport span which, in any case, can only receive support by protruding extensions or which remains unsupported, is thus enlarged.
For the operation of conveyors with planers, a considerable amount of energy must be supplied, of which only a small part is used for the actual work of clearing the plane and its blades. The friction of the body of the planer, in particular on frost-resistant rocks, is considerable and consumes a lot of energy.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
together with the lifting of the row of gutters for the passage of the plane sword.
While the part of the working face appearing on the surface above the upper edge of the upright on the face side of the gutter or the plane guide which is attached to it, generally does not require loading work, because it has crumpled over the gutter, it is necessary to free the raoin, as it was agreed to call it, from the body of the plane and load it into the gutter. It also requires considerable energy, especially when the coal adheres strongly to the deposit.
The object of the present invention is a conveyor for laminations ranging from the moderate slope to the height which no longer presents the drawbacks which must be attributed to known conveyors and which have been explained in particular above,
The conveyor according to the invention offers in particular the possibility of safe transport of supplies both up and down,
According to the invention, it is obtained in the following manner:
the conveyor member is constituted, in a manner that is in itself, of a large number of retarder pallets mounted in articulation on the gutter, said pallets being connected to a through traction chain and the conveyor gutter receiving a chain conveyor for supplies on the side opposite to the hinges of the retarder pallets.
With the help of the traction chain, it is thus obtained that the retarder pallets can be swiveled out of the conveyor gutter and against the upright on the working face side, which provides a passage for the material fixed on the conveyor. chain for supplies. At the same time, the slowing paddles can be brought to an extreme blocking position, so that the row of gutters
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
can be maintained or pulled upwards by means of the traction chain, which consequently allows the assembly and - disassembly of the conveyor gutters.
In addition, the traction chain allows the retarder pallets to be positioned in their most favorable pivoting position, having regard to the transport of supplies and coal.
According to a practical embodiment of the conveyor according to the invention, the chain conveyor for supply is constituted by an endless drive chain mounted inside the conveyor gutters in recoil and chain feed channels on the inside. the angle upright on the backfill side.
Such an endless drive chain can run continuously, which makes it possible to attach, as required, the material to the latter, while having a supply chain performing a back and forth movement, only an intermittent feed. material aéait possible. It goes without saying that the chain channels can be arranged at will, but in order to easily shape the oonvoyeuse gutter and in accordance with another characteristic of the invention, they can be made in such a way that the sheet of the gutter constitutes at least one wall of each chain channel. In this case, it proves to be useful, in accordance with another characteristic of the invention, to fix angles on the sheet metal of the gutter forming the walls of each chain channel.
The endless drive chain constituting the chain conveyor for supplies can be used in different ways In the simplest embodiment of the new conveyor, only bundles formed with the material are attached to said drive chain, the fact of attaching the bundle of material either with the retreating strand or with the advancing strand
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
of the chain conveyor for supplies determining the direction of the passage of the material in the size.
By another development of the invention, the drive chain can however be reversible and it then cooperates with a bucket for supplies fixed on one of the strands, the perfect running of which in the conveyor is ensured by the fact that it is guided. between the chain channels and the free ends of the retarder pallets which have been pivoted to the extent necessary in the conveyor gutter with the traction chain.
To allow long material to be introduced therein, the supply bucket is usefully provided with a pivotable front faoe preferably constituting the upstream side of the size of the bucket. The guiding of the bucket for supplies on the angled upright on the backfill side is effected on the one hand by the attachments to the drive chain and, on the other hand, preferably by skids fixed to the bucket.
If the traction chain deorite above is used to pull the conveyor upward, it is preferably attached in accordance with. another characteristic of the invention, to at least one cylinder connected to the guying mounted upstream of the waist, it is obviously also possible to connect the other end of the chains also to a cylinder, which makes it possible to keep the chain taut.
On the whole, the present invention thus gives above all the possibility of being able to transport material without danger in the conveyor, because the material is guided by the free ends of the retarder pallets and the amount of the gutter on the backfill side. It is thus possible to mechanically introduce all the supplies required for the extraction, whether from the bottom or from the top. The guidance of the material reliably prevents the material from
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
clears in the event of a steeper slope.
The traction chain for actuating the retarder paddles, together with the comparatively light design of the conveyor gutter, allows the conveyor to be pulled up, if necessary, and in particular to mount additional conveyor gutters or to dismantle superfluous conveyor gutters,
The present invention further improves the conveyor in that the body of the planer no longer requires a planing track and that; apart from the energy required to fell the coal, it consumes a quantity of energy considerably less than the energy consumed by known conveyors with planers.
According to the invention and to one of its other characteristics, this is obtained in principle by the fact that the planer body is guided on a sliding path formed on the bottom of the conveyor gutter and that the conveyor gutters take support on the waistline.
It is thus obtained, thanks to the invention, that the body of the plane is no longer guided, as hitherto, on the list, but on the smooth surface and thus only giving rise to minimal friction of the plane. bottom of the gutters, while these can pass essentially under the entire body of the planer, with the exception of the part formed by the blades.
Therefore, the guide of the plane can be used as the transport surface, which means that the transport surface and the guide of the plane can coincide. If it is important for supporting technical reasons that the transport span is as narrow as possible, the width of the plane guide can be satisfied as the transport surface. But depending on the nature of things, it is also possible to widen the transport span, i.e.
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
conveyor gutters to allow, if necessary, to mount a transport device in the gutters.
In the practical embodiment of the invention, the traction member which, as is known per se, can be placed freely through the conveyor gutters, which preferably consists of a rotating traction member and which prdaente as a result an advancing strand and a retreating strand, and guide it on the single plane itself. However, it has proved useful to guide the traction member on the inner face of a conveyor gutter upright on the backfill side. In this case, the advancing and retreating strands are juxtaposed and one can choose the point of attachment of the plane. It can be provided both on the advancing section and on the retreating section.
It is also useful to provide the sliding path fitted on the conveyor gutters, according to the invention, with a forced guide of the plane. This arrangement is recommended in particular to relieve the rising of the gutter and to prevent the planer body from disengaging from the sliding path. According to a ready-made embodiment, said forced guidance is produced in a hollow. It is therefore suitable for housing one or more auxiliary devices. It is thus that it is possible to use the hollow forced guidance of the body of the plane to house therein assembly means for the connection of successive conveyor gutters.
In this case, loedits means 4'assembly can be made in the form of bolts or chain links. This shaping of the assembly means on the transport surface was not possible until now, because it did not allow the passage of the body of the plane.
According to another feature of the invention, a retaining chain is mounted in the hollow forced guide which is used as an anchor for the conveyor gutters, in
<Desc / Clms Page number 10>
particularly in the event of a steep slope. Until now, such a retaining chain blocked, just like the assembly means, the flow of transported materials, or it was necessary to mount it, detrimentally, in special guides provided in the planer body. Finally, the hollow forced guide can be used as a housing for receiving the retreating strand of the traction member.
The planer body can conform, in principle, at will within the framework of the invention, it is therefore also possible to use within the framework of the invention, in principle, a planer body shaped in an oonnue manner. On the other hand, in view of a greater reduction in the friction between the planer body and its sliding surface, it can be recommended to manage relatively large surfaces on the planer body coming to rest on the sliding path. provided in the conveyor gutter. So that, in this case, the planer body is not too heavy, it is constituted, according to the invention, of a base body attached to the traction member and of a pivoting body which carries the planer blades and which can be positioned on said base body around a vertical axis against stops.
It is useful to shape the planer body so that its height can be adjusted, because it is thus possible to pass over the heel over a part of the waist, for example on parts with strong adhesion. coal appearing on the surface, This is preferably obtained by adjusting the bottom blades. According to the invention, this adjustment is carried out by inserting between the base body and the pivoting body a slide adjusting the height of the planing blades
In principle, right-angled gutters known per se can be used in the context of the conveyor according to the invention, for which provision can be made, if necessary
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
if necessary, attached tabs, the sliding path possibly with the forced guidance state provided on the amount of the bottom of the gutter.
The weight of the planer has the effect of applying to such gutters a bearing pressure such that they do not tend, even in the absence of a planer sword, to climb during the extraction, or to land on a bed of transported fine coal.
The assembly of the conveyor gutters together with the inserts according to the invention, said assembly preferably being provided for the laminations going from the semi-upright to the upright, can easily result in that parts of the transported material begin to slip on. the tabs attached or on the upright of the gutter on the backfill side and they then undergo a notable acceleration, so that they constitute a danger for people and equipment. To avoid these drawbacks, it is proposed by the invention to fix a flexible through apron extending essentially to the roof on the attached lugs.
This idea of autonomous importance in itself but particular in the context of the invention results in that the entire transport bay can be used for the removal of coal, because the decks form a space closed per se in the bay of transport. As a result, the support work, whether it is during the installation of a possibly planned backfill or during the movement of the support material, can be carried out during the transport and extraction operation.
For the practical realization of the invention, it is then important that, thanks to the construction of the closed transport bay, the bottom upright can be made in a narrow width and that it can be used as an additional non-transport surface. only the
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
amount on the backfill side, but also, if applicable, the erase from the deck.
The slide path of the plane, including a forced guide optionally provided for the plane body, however serves, according to the invention, not only as a transport surface, but also as a runway for one or more. sieurs transport bins for supplies. These transport tickets are then coupled, if necessary, to the traction member. When using such transport skips, it is advisable to fix the guides described above or also special guide rails to at least one upright of the gutter.
The present invention first of all makes it possible to eliminate the planing track, which makes the supporting work in the transport bay significantly easier and reduces the energy absorbed by the planer. This reduction in the energy absorbed makes it possible, on the one hand, to reduce the number of control stations, by eliminating preferably the lower control station in the case of using the planing plant on stratifications ranging from half - from straightening to straightening, or on the other hand, the energy emitted can be used to achieve a corresponding increase in yield, It can be obtained in particular, in the case of the use of light angled gutters, by a corresponding extension of the row of gutters,
the extraction length being thus increased accordingly.
The separation, achievable according to the invention, of the transport and extraction work from the other work in an extraction area also allows a more dense occupation and therefore a better use of the operating points,
The details, other features and adventures of the invention will emerge from the detailed description of

In the figures, there has been shown a conveyor for extraction machines acting by planing which will be described more fully below, namely in accordance with the form
<Desc / Clms Page number 14>
of execution represented! as an example a charcoal plane 1 in a high layered layering cut. The configuration of the carbon plane and these guides will be described in detail below.
The conveyor according to Figures 1 to 4 consists of conveyor gutters 2 assembled in a row of gutters 3 capable of being guyed at these ends, said gutters 6 being provided, as shown in the sectional views of Figures 3 and 4, on the backfill side of an angled upright 4 and on the working face side of an angled upright 5 which has a track 5 (see figure 3) for a mining machine 1.
The angled upright on the backfill side receives a chain conveyor for supplies 7 (see figure 2) and on the angled uprights 5 on the working face side are articulated mobile watches of the retarder paddles 9 re-read, in accordance with the embodiment shown in For example, to a through traction chain 8 and protruding into the conveyor gutters 2. The articulated assembly of the retarder pallets is achieved by hinges 10 fixed to the inner wall of the angled upright 5 on the backfill side.
In accordance with the embodiment presented by way of example in FIGS. 1 to 4, the chain conveyor 7 for supplies consists of an endless drive chain mounted inside the conveyor gutters 2 in chain recoil channels 11 and two chain feed channels @ 12 provided on the angled upright 4 on the backfill side.
The chain strands thus formed can be attached to the choice of boxes of material whose direction of transport results from the senna of the chain strand 11 or 12,
Each gutter sheet 2 forms, as can be seen immediately in Figures 3 and 4, at least one wall of
<Desc / Clms Page number 15>
each of the channels 11 and 12. On the sheet metal of the gutters, namely partly on their bottom or also on their right-angled amount 4 on the backfill side, angles 13 constituting the walls of each of the channels 11 and 12 are fixed.
In accordance with the embodiment shown by way of example in the figures, a drive chain 7 is connected to chain controls 16 mounted at the guying stations 14 and 15. According to the embodiment shown by way of example , a control 16 comprising a chain wheel 17 is used at the upper guying station 14, while the chain passes over a single chain wheel 18 at the lower guying station 15, The control 16 is reversible and the drive chain turns endlessly in the convection gutter.
To one of the rotating strands, in accordance with the embodiment shown by way of example in Figures 1 to 4, to the rotating strand 11 of the drive chain 7 is coupled a bucket 19 for supplies which is guided between the channels chain 11 and 12 and the free ends 20 of the slowing vanes 9 which have been pivoted in the convoying gutter a with the aid of the traction chain 8. Comparing Figures 3 and 4, we can see realizes that the angular position of the retarder pallets in relation to the direction of transport allows the passage of the supply bucket 19.
The bucket for supplies 19 also has a front faoe, not shown, which can be pivoted, preferably upstream of the waist and intended to introduce long material. In addition, the bucket for supplies has at its two ends, as shown in particular in Figure 2, attachments 23 and 24 for the drive chain 7 and, moreover, pads 25, one of which is seen in Figure 3 .
The track for the extraction machine i consists of two superimposed guide tubes 26 and 27
<Desc / Clms Page number 16>
which have spacers 28, by which they are fixed to the angled upright 5 on the cutting front side of the conveyor gutter 2. the ends of the spacers 28 for. As can be seen from FIG. 3, covering tabs for fixing fasteners known per se and constituted for example by couplings, and the guide tubes 26 and 27 can engage the one inside the other by their ends. Thus there is formed a track for the extraction machine 1, said track being essentially rigid and extending over the entire working face.
In accordance with the embodiment shown by way of example, the traction chain 8 is attached both at its end upstream of the waist and at its end downstream of the waist to cylinders 29 and 30 mounted at their side to the side. Guying stations 14 and 15 respectively. These cylinders serve, together with the traction chain 8, to hold the slow-down paddles 9 in the position once chosen, to brake the coal additionally, and they also operate as a pulling element, when it comes to pulling up the conveyor 3.
In accordance with the embodiment shown by way of example in Figures 1 to 4, the control 16 of the chain conveyor for supplies is mounted in the extra gallery. upper tion 32 on a common tensioning frame 31 which constitutes the main part of the upper guying station 14, while at the other end of the conveyor 3 a reversing device capable of being tensioned and of which the shape of execution known per se has therefore not been shown or described in detail, is sufficient.
In accordance with the embodiment shown by way of example, push cylinders
33 are, moreover, mounted movably with articulation on the right-angled uprights 4 on the backfill side of the conveyor gutters 2,
<Desc / Clms Page number 17>
in order to facilitate the forward movement of the conveyor towards the working face. the conveyor shown in Figures 1 to 4 also has the possibility, where appropriate to pull up all the conveyor gutters, to attach traction units not only to the traction chain, but also to additionally, to the supply conveyor chain and conveyor gutters.
In Figures 5 to 9, there is shown a conveyor in accordance with the invention and equipped with a coal plane installation. In accordance with the embodiment of said conveyor, shown by way of example in Figures 5 to 9, the coal planer installation consisted of conveyor gutters 102 mounted along a face 101 and a body plane 105 guided by the gutters 102 and attached to a traction member designated by 103 and 104. The plane body 105 is guided on a sliding path formed on the bottom 106 of the conveyor gutters 102 and the conveyor gutters 102 bear directly on on the front of size 101.
One realizes the said direct support of the conveyor gutters 102, by imagining that the shape of the cutting face extends beyond the blades of the planer body 105, which will be described below.
In accordance with the embodiments shown by way of example in FIGS. 5 to 9 and in particular according to FIG. 5, the traction member is guided on the inside face of an upright on the backfill 107 of the conveyor gutter of the angled gutter shown in said figure. This is a rotating traction member which consequently has an upper strand designated by 103 and a lower strand 104.
The guide consists of chain channels 108 and 109, the chain channel 109 of which has an orifice 110 ', through which
<Desc / Clms Page number 18>
the planer body is attached to the lower strand 104 of the traction member. The control of the traction member 103 and 104 designed in the form of a planer chain that is known per se and has therefore not been shown in the figures. It goes without saying that it is possible to attach the plane of the plane 105 & the chain 103 instead of the chain 104, as shown.
On the bottom of the conveyor gutters 102 is fixed a forced guide 110 for the planer body 105.
Said forced guide consists, as shown in the figures, of side plates and assembled cover plates and generally has the shape of a T. A correspondingly shaped recess this formed on the plane body 105, the plane receiving thus a forced guidance in all possible directions.
In accordance with the embodiments of the invention shown by way of example, the forced guide 110 is hollow at 111. In the cavity 111 thus formed are housed assembly means 112. said assembly means are formed , for example, by an inserted chain link, but they can also be constituted, notwithstanding what has been shown in Figure 5, of one or more assembly bolts.
If the conveyor member constituted conveyor gutters 102 joined by the assembly means 112 in a transverse row of gutters must be blocked, in particular in the case of a fairly steep slope, by an additional retaining chain , said retaining chain can also be housed in the cavity 111. This possibility, as well as another possibility according to which the receding strand of the traction member 103 or 104 can be placed in the cavity 111, has no effect. been shown especially in the figures.
The conformation of the planer body emerges from the representation according to Figures 6 and 6a, in correlation with
<Desc / Clms Page number 19>
that according to figures 5 or 8.
In accordance with the form of execution shown in Figures 6, 6a and 5, the planer body 105 consists of a base body 113 and a pivot body 114. The assembly of these two bodies constitutes a pivot which provides a vertical axis 115. Stops 116 limit the amount of rotation that the pivoting body 114 can perform about the axis 115 with respect to the guided base body 113. Between the base body 11 @ and the pivoting body 114 is placed a slider 137.
The height of said slider is adjustable using screws 118.
It is thus possible to adjust in particular the relative position of the bottom blade 117, but also that of the other blades 118. It is thus possible to fix in particular the depth, at which the bottom blade 117 must plane any coal which may stick strongly. at gîte 119.
In accordance with the exemplary embodiments of a conveyor suitable for layering ranging from half-dresser to dresser and equipped with a plane, square gutters are used, although the present invention does not apply. not limited to square gutters. Said angled gutters are therefore provided, in addition to the backfill side upright 117, with a bottom upright 120. Such angled gutters are used in conjunction with attached lugs 121, the embodiment of which is mainly known pe.
On the attached tabs 121 is fixed a flexible apron 122 rising to the roof and which may be constituted, for example, by a piece of rubber. The transport span 23 is thus completely separated from the transport span 24 and the backfill span 25 of the extraction size shown in the figures, which makes it possible to carry out work in the spans 124 and 125 to side of work
