<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Overeenkomstig de huidige verbeteringen vertoont de voornoemde zijwand 1 een zeker aantal ringvormige cmtrak;

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"Case for take-off matter and device for using this case".
In the main patent a case is disclosed for draw-off matters, more especially for ground coffee, which consists mainly of a completely closed container, the side wall of which is formed by a usually conical ring, while the bases are formed by two washers in filter material and which on the top surface and on the bottom surface, respectively, of the aforementioned annular body.
The primary concern in using such enclosures is the conditions in which the actual
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
pulling is performed, this subtraction being the essential purpose of using such sheaths. These subtraction conditions are determined by several factors, the three main ones being respectively: the filtering characteristics of the walls, top and bottom walls, respectively, of the casing! the determination of the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the ground coffee placed in the casing, and the tightness between the casing and its support.
The present improvements mainly aim at this third condition. This is so much more difficult to solve, because such casings have to be made of an exceptionally light and inexpensive material, because the differences in dimensions, even among containers of the same nature and origin, are sometimes very are significant and ultimately, in that, both in terms of the casing and its support, one is dealing with industrial products of low precision manufacture, it being all necessary to prevent any penetration between the casing and to be ; support.
Indeed, it is well known that the slightest passage will quickly determine an almost continuous run-off of the water. especially since the latter is brought under a small static pressure by the liquid column which it forms, above the casing, in the receptacle.
In general, it has been proposed to provide the casing with a circumferential collar in an elastic or deformable material, the outer diameter of which is preferably slightly larger than that of the seat intended for the casing. In this way it was hoped to realize a satisfactory tightness packing, in which the aforementioned collar "!" by the hydrostatic pressure itself, is pressed against the corresponding clew of the aforementioned seat.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
This solution is sufficient for certain applications, but this solution has proved insufficient for the use of the casings in numerous aupporta or receptacles.
Current improvements bring a new solution by bringing into this type of enclosure, considered alone or in combination with any other additional element or arrangement, the notion of superposed packings.
Its purpose is, at different heights, between the top and bottom base levels of the casing. to have gaskets which act individually on the corresponding part of the seat of the shell. Such superposed gaskets can be used indifferently on a casing with cylindrical, conical or any

<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the difficulty in ensuring the seal between two adjacent surfaces becomes so much greater as these surfaces are extended.
It will thus be possible to give the aforementioned envelopes an even the same height and distribute a suitable number of gaskets placed one above the other over this height.
It is thus without limiting character that hereinafter embodiments are described which refer to the schematic accompanying drawings in which * Figures 14, 15, 16 and 17 show, in half radial section and in half side view, four embodiments of casings with superposed gaskets according to current improvements; Figures 18, 19, 20 and 21 show, on an enlarged scale, the portions indicated by F18, F19, F20 and F21 in Figures 14 to 17, respectively.
In these embodiments, the sleeve shell, as disclosed in the main runner, is mainly formed by a sensor wall 1, an upper washer and a lower washer 5, the said washers both being made of filter paper. In the thus referred to '' closed chamber, the ground coffee is sange brought,
The wall 1 may have indifferent cylindrical wine as shown in Figures 14 and 16 or concise as shown in Figures 15 and 17 or any other suitable shape,
In accordance with the present improvements, the aforementioned side wall 1 exhibits a certain number of annular dimensions;
cragen 24-25-26-27 which form an equal number of superposed packages.
For ease of comparison, Figures 14 to 21 have shown the same number of such packings stacked one above the other, but in different embodiments. It goes without saying that this number is essentially changeable,
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
whereas these gaskets may or may not be at equal distances from one another and have the same or different characteristics. All or some of them may be integral with the side wall of the enclosure or be mounted on this wall.
These gaskets placed one above the other can also be made of the same or of different materials and have the same or different profiles, all this in relation to the embodiments and more particularly the characteristics of the seat on which such a cover must rest.
In the example of Figs. 14 and 16, a casing with oilindrical sidewall 1 is shown, wherein in the first example the superposed gaskets 24-25-26-27 are the same, while for the second example these gaskets are different. from each other.
Figures 15 and 17 show a casing with conical side wall 1 wherein for Figure 15 the superposed gaskets 24-25-26-27 are different, while for Figure 17 the gaskets are the same.
The superposed casings according to the invention may be used as such, namely as disclosed in the main canopy, or may still be used as the bottom of a container or of a portion of a rigid, or flexible, or any other. ancillary disposed receptacle.
The same superposed gaskets could be used indifferently on casings whose bases are formed by perforated walls or by walls in a filter material.
