<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Dans le cas de la fixation sur plaque plane, la plaquette peut être plane; il est aussi possible de la supprimer;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

BRIEF OF INVENTION "Gutter support" Mr. Manuel, Antonio NEGRE- PENARROCHA Having been the subject of French patent n ° 1322199 granted on February 18, 1963 for the subject matter of claims 1 to 8.
The prizing * invention relates to the construction of buildings and in particular the fixing of gutters on the edge of roofs. Bile is preferably applied but not exclusively, them roofs consisting of flat or non-flat cladding, such as corrugated iron, such as than sheets of fiber cement, metal, plastic or the like *
The subject of the invention is essentially a support for a gutter or the like, remarkable in particular in that it comprises a fastening element forming a yoke, yoke, clamp or the like,
likely to be adapted
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
and secured to the edge of a roof. According to an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the yoke, yoke, clamp or the like is constituted by a plate provided with a slot, preferably central, separating said plate into two branched, the width of said the slot being adapted to the thickness of the material constituting the edge of the roof, the thickness of the corrugated sheet or of the sheet of fiber cement or the like.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the bottom of the aforementioned slot separating the plate into two branches, extends to above the inside of the support hook in which the gutter rests, so that a of the edges of the gutter is engaged below the edge of the roof.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the plate constituting the caliper comprises on one of its branches a tightening screw, and on the other branch a small plate possibly curved to adapt to the curvature of a roof element, vis-à-vis the said aim
Preferably, the stirrup, that is to say the plate provided with a slot, is formed by a metal part welded to the metal gutter support, said plate being arranged in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the gutter. *
According to another characteristic of the invention,
the aforementioned stirrup comprises at the end of one of its branches, a welded threaded element, such as a nut for example, to cooperate with the aforementioned clamping screw, According to a variant, the end of the stirrup can be worked by forging and have a tapped hole. Consequently, the aforementioned plate is welded to the other branch of the caliper.
The curvature of the pad, as shown above, corresponds to the curvature of the corrugated sheet by
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
example * The clamping via can be either above or below the roof, this arrangement depending on the accessibility that one can have under the roof,
In order to be able to achieve the desired inclination of the gutter, the stirrup or the like can be linked to the hook part, supporting the gutter proper, by a part susceptible to deformations, to modify the position of the hook relative to the hook. bracket, that is to say in relation to the edge of the roof to be fitted with a gutter.
Other characteristics will become apparent during the description which follows.
In the appended drawings given only by way of example - figure 1 shows in elevation an embodiment of a gutter support according to the invention: - figure 2 shows the same support in plan: - figure 3 shows a section along line III-III of figure 1: - figure 4 shows in elevation another embodiment: - figure 5 shows, in side elevation, another embodiment.
According to the embodiment of Figures 1 to 3, the gutter support comprises a hook 10 for example, made of galvanized iron obtained by curving a flat iron, A 'tab 9, obtained by punching, or attached for example by welding , riveting or other, cert to fix one of the edges of the gutter, the other edge being held for example by folding the end 10a of the hook. The hook is extended on the side of the fixing of the roof edge, by a reotilinear part 11 on which is fixed, for example by welding, a bracket 12. It can be cut for example from a galvanized iron plate.
In this plate is cut a slot 13 of a suitable width
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
to the material on which the hook is to be pulled fixed 1 the tent preferably has a sufficient depth so that the bottom 13a of this slot covers the edge of the gutter located on the side of the roof, approximately at the location of the elbow 10a of the hook , 10 ,, The angle formed at the elbow 10b between the end of the hook 10 and the rectilinear part 11, this intended to give the slot 13 an inclination which corresponds to that of the slope of the roof, when the gutter is set up normally. The slot 13 divides the plate 12 into two branches 14 and 15.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the fixing of the stirrup 12 on the edge of the roof is obtained by means of a screw 16 cooperating with a nut 17 welded to the end of the branch 15 of the stirrup . At the end of the other branch 14 of the caliper, is welded, opposite the via 16, a plate 18, As can be seen in FIG. 3, the plate 18 is curved in the direction transverse to the plate 12, so as to match for example the curvature of a corrugated sheet,
In the case of fixing on a flat plate, the plate can be flat; it is also possible to delete it;
but it is also possible to use a curved plate which then serves as an elastic element for fixing,
The screw 16 being loosened, the support is put in place by engaging the slot 13 on the material constituting the edge of the roof, and after having engaged it a. bottom, the screw 13 is tightened, so as to obtain a blocking. Having arranged a certain number of supports at regular intervals, all that remains is to put the gutter in the hooks 10.
The gutter support is shown in the drawings with screw 16 and bolt 17, placed at the top; once set up, this life is
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
will be found outside, above the roof It goes without saying that the via 16 and the bolt 17 could be pulled welded to the other branch of the caliper, the plate 18 then being welded to the upper branch 15 1 in this case the screw 16 would be located under / the roof.
The choice of the position of the screw
16, that is to say the nut 17; depends essentially on the nature of the edge of the roof to be fitted with a gutter and the available locations, as well as possible inaccessibility under the roof to allow tightening and blocking of screw 16.
In the embodiment of Figure 4, the stirrup 22 is composed of two unequal branches 24 and 25, the branch 24 fixed to the reotilinear part of the hook being longer than the branch 25, because this branch 24 is extended beyond the screw 26 or the plate 28 which faces it, that is to say beyond the end of the other branch. The branch 24 is fixed, for example by welding, only to the outer end 21a of the straight part 21 of the hook, while the other end 21b of the reotilinear part of the hook is not fixed to the hook. branch 24.
This arrangement makes it possible to separate the hook 20 from the fixing bracket 22 more or less, and thus achieve the slope of the gutter by giving progressive deformations to the. various successive supports used along a gutter, that is to say on the different supports, following the slope of the gutter, the gaps between the part 21b of the hook and the stirrup 22 voaten increasing.
In Figure 5, there is shown a gutter support comprising a case 30 of the same type as eyes of Figures 1 and 4, on which is welded a V-shaped piece, 31, comprising in its free branch a buttonhole in which engages a via 33 allowing the mounting of a gutter support 34.
The grout seed of the screw 33 in the buttonhole allows the height adjustment of the support relative to the edge of the roof.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Of course.) The invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described and presented which has been given only by way of example.
