" PROCEDE.POUR LA FABRICATION DE SACS A DOUBLE
PAROI, MUNIS D'UNE FEUILLE INTERCALAIRE DIS-
POSEE ENTRE LES PAROIS ".-
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

"PROCEDURE FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF DOUBLE BAGS
WALL, EQUIPPED WITH A DISTINCT INTERCAL SHEET
PLACED BETWEEN THE WALLS ".-
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of double-walled bags provided with an interlayer sheet disposed between the walls. In this process, the interlayer sheet is inserted into a thin-walled plastic tube which is folded along a line parallel to the longitudinal direction and which is then sealed and cut on both sides of the sheet. interlayer.
The inserts are generally printed or provided with signs indicating the packaged goods, such as foodstuffs, tobacco, textiles, etc.
In the known method, the plastic tube is first cut into sections the width of which corresponds to the width of the bags to be produced. As it is very difficult to arrange the interleaves mechanically, they are inserted by hand into the tube sections, after which these are bent and the open side sides are sealed. Thus, the manufacturing cost is quite high compared to the cost of the material used, while the production speed is low.
The object of the invention is a method for making the bags in an entirely mechanical manner by a continuous series of treatments.
This is made possible by the fact that, according to the invention, the plastic tube is slit in the longitudinal direction and the interlayer sheet is inserted between the walls of the tube through the slit thus formed.
The incision can then be formed by welding, while the tube can be bent and then be sealed and cut next to the interlayer sheet.

The bags according to the invention are distinguished from the known bags by the fact that they have a weld in the longitudinal direction. However, the additional processing of the incision followed by sealing by welding is largely offset by the advantage of the fully mechanical manufacture of the bags *
The invention will be illustrated below with the aid of the embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings, in which;

Knife 3 is fitted with a

back 4, which separates the two walls 5 and 6 of the plastic tube.
At b, an interlayer sheet 7 is introduced through the incision 8 between the walls 5 and 6. This can be done for example by means of adhesive pack 10 attached to a lever 9, which pack each time take a sheet of the stack 11, place it between walls 5 and 6 and release it there. * The slip sheets can be printed or marked as desired. In some cases, it may be sufficient to make an opening in the interlayer sheet so that the contents of a filled bag are visible.
As soon as the interlayer sheet has been introduced between the walls of the plastic tube, they are applied one on top of the other and: closed by a c-weld.
Then the plastic tube is bent in D along a line parallel to the longitudinal direction of the tube, after which the walls of the tube, are connected to each other in S1 by a weld 14 in the transverse direction between two. neighboring interleaves. The bags 15 are cut in F along the welded side of the tube.
The execution of the seal 14 and the cutting of the finished bags 15 can be carried out simultaneously. Furthermore, instead of a wide weld 14, two welds can be made very close to each other while the finished bag can be cut between these welds.
The interleaves can also be fed from a roll 16 as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5. In this case, the bag is open to a length such that the wall 6 of the plastic tube is sufficiently raised to apply the strip of paper 17 to the wall.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the wall 5. If necessary, grooves 81 can be made in the paper web using a punching machine 19, at the place where the weld 14 will be made during the following treatment. This is not necessary, however, since it is possible to attach the polyethylene sheet to the paper as long as the heat fine is sufficient.
4a fold 13 may also have the form of a bellows as shown in Figure 6 at 19 ', aorta which obtains a bag with a flat bottom.
The incision 8 can also be obtained by cutting a strip 21du edge of the plastic tube. If one starts from a plastic tube, the width of which is two hays larger than the glue which is necessary for the manufacture of the sheets, the plastic tube is cut in the longitudinal direction so that the width of the strip 21 is equal to the width of the remaining strip
22, so that the soft bands are suitable for bag making, the bands can be fed directly to a pacifier making machine, however, they can also be wound up,
for example in the case where there is only one machine.
