<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
La fig. 2 représente une vue par-dessus, du même récipient; .La fig. 3 est une coupe transversale, et --La fige 4 une coupe suivant IV-IV de la.figé 3 représentant un autre exemple de réalisation ayant la forme extérieure d'un godet ;
La fig. 5 représente une.coupe transversale d'un récipient mélangeur moulé;
La fig. 6 est une coupe transversale, et-
La fig. 7. une coupe suivant VII-VII de la fig. 6 d'un autre mode de réalisation d'un récipient moulé,conforme à l'invention, qui présente également la forme d'un godet ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

The present invention relates to a refrigeration container which can be placed in a refrigerator and which enables refrigeration to be produced rapidly, even outside the refrigeration cabinet.
Refrigeration containers are already known which can be placed in the low temperature compartment of refrigerators, which consist of an outer casing and a substantially cylindrical inner casing. The hollow space of such containers is filled with a refrigerant, and ribs extending from the walls protrude into the space. hollow. The outer walls of the casing of these devices are smooth. The ribs protrude radially from the wall
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
of the container and are arranged parallel or perpendicular to the axis of the container or form a spiral. rale surrounding this one. As a result, the manufacture of such containers involves considerable difficulties.
In addition, the ribs exert, during the freezing of the refrigerant, uncontrollable forces on the wall of the apparatus, forces which require an excess dimension of the thickness of this wall. In addition, ribs of this kind prevent the rapid exchange of heat with the product to be cooled.
Thanks to the present invention, these defects are eliminated by giving, preferably, at least one of the enveloping surfaces, a corrugated conformation and a determined profile, the wall thickness remaining practically constant. Such a device involves a considerable reduction in the material necessary for the construction, a simplification of the tools necessary for the manufacture, and above all provides a larger separation surface, the wall thicknesses possibly being considerably less. Such a profiled, that is to say corrugated, separation surface is also capable of compensating for stresses which suddenly occur during freezing of the refrigerant.
According to an additional characteristic of the invention, it is possible to profile only the part of the wall which is in contact with the product to be cooled, and on the other hand to leave the opposite surface not profiled, which constitutes a new improvement. of the container. According to another embodiment of the object of the invention, this heat transfer is further improved owing to the fact that the part of the wall opposite the product to be cooled is lined with a casing. thermal insulation.
By means of ribs projecting from the non-profiled part of the casing into the hollow of the vessel, it is possible to obtain that the heat transfer is preferably directed towards the product to be cooled.

The aforementioned advantageous configuration, object of the invention, also makes it possible to produce in a simple manner the evacuation of the air from the empty space of the container. This makes it possible to fill this empty space, up to nine tenths to ten elevenths of its total volume, with water, which, after freezing, completely occupies the aforementioned hollow space.
The refrigeration container according to the invention can be manufactured, with regard to its external shape, exactly like the known containers having the shape of cups, cups, hollow dishes, etc., or also in the well known shape. cups, saucers, etc.
Other features, characteristics and advantages of the invention result from the non-limiting examples shown in the accompanying drawing; on this drawing :
Fig: 1 is a cross section of a container having the shape of a hollow dish according to the invention, and
Fig. 2 shows a top view of the same container; Fig. 3 is a cross section, and --La fige 4 a section along IV-IV of la.figé 3 showing another embodiment having the outer shape of a bucket;
Fig. 5 shows a cross section of a molded mixing vessel;
Fig. 6 is a cross section, and-
Fig. 7. a section along VII-VII of FIG. 6 of another embodiment of a molded container, according to the invention, which also has the shape of a cup;
Finally, fig. 8 shows an interior view of a common household refrigerator.
The container according to the present invention can be placed in a refrigerator, preferably in the cooled compartment 10 thereof (fig, 8), and comprises a hollow space 12 partially filled with a heat storing agent 11, for example.

example by water. The surface of at least a part of the wall, and preferably the wall 13, which is in contact with the product to be cooled, for example a drink, a meal, etc. is thus enlarged, the thickness of the wall remaining practically constant, by the fact that this wall 13 comprises, for example, a corrugated profile. The way in which. the surface forming the wall 13 is enlarged, as determined by the manufacture of the container.
If the wall 13 is made of sheet metal, that is to say obtained by pressing or by stamping, it is possible to envisage different shapes and profiles which are customary to specialists, for example a corrugated or embossed sheet. The same is true for diaphragm wall 13.
In the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing (Fig. 1 to 2).), .The wall 13 which can be brought into contact blindly) ,, Product to be refrigerated is made of sheet metal. The non-profiled wall 14 'of the hollow glat which is opposite the product to be cooled can, paricon = be, be molded (according to fig. 1 and 2) or be made of sheet metal while the outer wall 13' of the conforming cup in fig. 3 @ and 4 will be profiled, and preferably sheet metal. '
A conformation of the container, according to the aforementioned example and according to FIGS.
3 and 4, has the advantage that the two walls 13, 13 'can be used practically in the same way for heat transfer, which is especially necessary: when the cup is not intended to receive the product that o wants to cool. In this case, the cooling container is lowered entirely into the product in question, so that the heat transfer takes place both through wall 13 'and through wall 13'. In this case, it is advisable to provide the receptacles having the aforementioned conformation with a thermally insulating envelope, which can, depending on the use, be folded up or removed.
This envelope 15 can serve as a protection when gripping the cup, or as a shield against heat radiation, and must be removed before placing the container.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
in the refrigerator.
Filling or emptying the containers in accordance with fig. 1 to 4 can be done in two different ways. When the hollow space has been filled with a heat-accumulating medium, for example with water, up to ten elevenths of the total volume of the hollow space 12, the edges 16 are widely folded back. of the inner wall 13 and of the outer wall 14 or, respectively, 13 ', then the water is frozen or brought to a boil. In both cases, the air is evacuated and the edges 16 can then be closed hermetically by means of a new folding.
This seal can also be made after filling, but then it is necessary to provide in one of the walls, at the highest position, a hole allowing the escape of air, this hole being sealed. after evacuation, or, for example, welded.
It is possible to obtain containers conforming to FIG. 5. Both by stamping and by molding. It is recommended to insert by pressure the cover 17 provided for closing the space, hollow 12 and possibly to weld it on its edge 18. In this case, it is advantageous to produce, after the filling of the 'hollow space 12, for example, with water, the evacuation of the hollow space 12 by evaporation of the water and cold inserting by pressure the cover 17, that is to say to cause additional shrinkage.
Finally, the embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 of a refrigeration vessel according to the invention comprises ribs 19 which protrude into the hollow space 12 and which represent an enlargement of the thickness of the outer wall 14, which produces, preferably, heat transfer through wall 13.
The refrigeration containers according to the invention have the advantage that their use does not require the direct addition to the product to be cooled of a refrigerant, for example.

example of ice. By eliminating the filling or venting openings, it is prevented that such openings can either become blocked or open inadvertently. This feature prevents the failure of the use of the utensils according to the invention and allows them to be introduced in any position in the deep-freezing compartment 10.
