<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to an installation for spreading powder, feed or liquid fertilizers, which is equipped with a storage tank carried by a chassis on wheels and its purpose is to provide an installation in which the fertilizer is spread evenly over a large width and in which obstructions to the outlet of the tank are avoided as much as possible.
In the installation according to the invention is arranged, under the open discharge end of the tank, a bowl having a side spout which extends in the direction opposite to that
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
in which the frame moves and which has, in its side walls, one or more orifices, the bowl and the spout laterally performing an oscillating movement.
Preferably, a disc which oscillates therewith and which has radial slits extending beyond the periphery of the outlet of the reservoir is disposed on the bowl. By running the bowl and disc in this way, no fertilizer can remain on the edge of the disc, fertilizer that will adhere to the disc and also below the wall of the tank, as powder or grain fertilizers are often wet. In addition, the gap existing between the lower edge of the tank and the upper plane of the disc can be larger without the fertilizer escaping through this gap and accumulating in the center of the area on which the fertilizer takes place. spreading, which would cause an irregular spreading of the fertilizer.
The invention will be described in more detail in an exemplary embodiment, thanks to the drawing in which FIG. 1 represents a vertical section along the line I-I of FIG. 2, while partially showing the reservoir with the bowl and the spout.
Figure 2 is a plan view of the bowl with the spout, the reservoir being cut along line II-II of Figure 1.
Figure 3 shows, on a larger scale, a view taken near the mouth of the spout.
The tank 1, in which the fertilizer to be spread is located, will have its lower end, a bearing 2 for a shaft 3, housed by its base, at 4, in a frame. Under the reservoir is a bowl 5, which is provided with a spout 6, which has a few orifices 7 on both sides and at its end a slot 8. The bowl 5 is fixed on the shaft 3 thanks to a hub 9.
On the cup 5 is fixed a disc 10 and, between the lower edge
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of the reservoir 1 and the disc 10, there is a second disc, 11, which can rotate around the shaft 3 and has, like the disc 10, radial slots 12 which extend beyond the periphery. of the outlet of the tank 1, which makes it possible to prevent fertilizer from remaining on the edge of the disc 11, fertilizer which would adhere to it, or fertilizer from escaping through the slot between the reservoir and the disc. In addition, the edges of the slots 12 in the disc 11 can act as scrapers on the lower edge of the tank, in order to remove the fertilizer which would adhere to this edge.
For this reason and also thanks to the fact that the slit between the reservoir and the disc can be enlarged without the fertilizer falling through this slit, the bowl and the discs 10, 11 will meet less resistance when pressing. oscillating movement, so that the use of forces will be less.
In order to further facilitate the evacuation of the fertilizer out of the tank and out of the spout, the wall of the bowl is, on the side of the spout 6, at the top, close to 1.3, vertical or inclined towards the spout, and the wall of the bowl, on the opposite side, is extended in a curved fashion to become the spout itself.
The passage through the discs 10 and 11 can be changed, since the disc 11 can rotate relative to the disc 10 and the set position can be fixed by means of a clamping bolt 14, which passes through a slot 15 of a plate 16 fixed to the disc 10.
The bowl 5 and the spout 6, which is fixed thereto, can be controlled by a crank 17 or an eccentric, the rod 18 of which grips an arm 19 fixed on the shaft 3 of the bowl.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, a vertical strip 20 is located at the mouth of the spout 6, which strip constitutes a barrier and therefore limits the discharge orifice of the spout, so

To the hub 9 of the bowl 5 are fixed two springs 21 which are attached to two fixed points 22 of the frame and dampen the movement of the bowl.
The installation according to]: '- invention can be arranged on the chassis of a tractor or can.âtre provided with clean wheels.
To adjust the passage through the orifices 7, 8, in the wall of the spout 6, a socket can be arranged around the spout, which socket also has orifices which can be moved relative to the orifices 7, 8 of the spout. beak.
Although a conical spout is shown in the drawing, this need not necessarily have a circular section, whereas this section of the spout could also be rectangular.
