filaments with polyamide filaments, with the aim of making the best use of the best properties of each other. This can be done in particular with a view to obtaining fabrics with a raised effect, especially since the polyester filaments of the type in question are also liable to retract.
If such fully or partially shrunk polyester filaments and non-shrunk polyamide filaments or. in any case having a power of withdrawal greater than that :. polyester filaments, a mixed fabric with a raised effect is easily obtained by using the feconds, together with the former, in the most diverse textile combinations, in particular in warp, weft, or warp and weft in a . woven fabric, and causing the shrinkage of the polyamide filaments, at the time of desizing, by simple immersion in boiling water, according to the.
usual method.
The same is not true if the reverse assembly is carried out, that is to say if one starts from polyamide filaments which are totally or partially retracted and from non-retracted or at least endowed with polyamide filaments. 'still very substantial withdrawal power.
Pansce case, in fact, the. simple immersion in boiling water of the mixed textile article does not cause any significant differential shrinkage of the constituent filaments.
It has been observed that the difference in shrinkage on heating at 100 or slightly higher temperatures does not cause a. sufficiently significant shrinkage of the polyester filaments to give the textile article a noticeable relief effect.
It has been found that much higher temperatures, in excess of 1800 and more preferably around 220, must be achieved to produce the optimum recesses of polyester yarns.
We therefore now have the possibility of easily obtaining articles of the type in question, and the present invention relates to new textile articles with a relief effect consisting essentially of mixtures of polyamide filaments and yarn @ -

to give an appreciable "blister" effect on a mixed fabric.
Naturally, there is every advantage in operating under conditions for which the removal of the polyester filaments and, where appropriate, that of the polyamide filaments can be carried out freely. This can be obtained in particular: - by setting wide on a ream over a dimension less than the width of the fabric falling from the loom, at least the differential shrinkage of the two kinds of filaments, assuming that the latter are used jointly in the. trailing of the fabric, - by a warp feed at least equal to this same differential shrinkage, if the two kinds of filaments are warped in the fabric, - as far as possible, by weaving and threading the fabric ,
facilitating slippage of polyester yarns on polyamide yarns (for example, loose texture, high titers and low twists of polyester yarns compared to the titers and twists of polyamide yarns).
One way or another one will obtain mixed textile articles having an accentuated "blister" effect, endowed with a very pleasant touch, and possessing a very high wrinkle-resistance, the treatment causing the shrinkage producing at the same time a thermal finish. for textile articles made of the two kinds of filaments.
It is also not excluded that said textile articles may also contain other filaments than those mentioned, provided, of course, that they are not affected by the heat treatments to be involved.
The invention is illustrated with the aid of the example known and which is naturally given only as an indication.
EXAMPLE.
A plain weave fabric is produced by using so-called retracted 65 denier, 33 strand polyethylene terephthalate-based threads in warp? twisted to the right at 600 turns per meter and neck-
