La. présente invention a pour objet un index amovible de signalisation et de classement destina en particulier à être utilisé en combinaison avec les intercalaires pour fichiers ou reliures, amovibles ou non, et les chemises ou dossiers sus- pendus ou non.
Suivant la caractéristique principale de l'invention l'index amovible de classement et de signalisation comportant, d'une part, un organe de fixation destiné à recevoir de façon amovible une bande portant le signe de classement et de signait' sation et, d'autre part, et sensiblement dans son plan, au moins une patte de fixation destinée à pénétrer dans l'un des ajourages d'une série d'ajourages de préférence d'écartement constant, ménagés dans la tranche d'un canal plat disposé sur l'un des bords du support d'index et destiné à recevoir avec

un léger jeu une bande d'accrochage de l'index,
est caractérisé en ce que la patte de fixation de l'index comporte à son extré- mité une saillie orientée transversalement par rapport à son plan et douée d'une élasticité lui permettant de se déplacer sen- siblement dans le plan de la patte lors de l'introduction de cette dernière entre l'une des faces de la bande et la face cor respondante du canal et assurant le verrouillage de l'index par redressement en contact avec la tranche de cette bande la plus éloignée du bord.
Quelques modes de réalisation sont représentés à titre d'exemple au dessin annexé dans lequel : la fig. 1 montre de face, un intercalaire de reliure à feuillets mobiles suivant l'invention, la fig. 2 est une coupe partielle suivant la ligne II-II de la fige 1, à plus grande échelle, la fige 2a est une coupe analogue à celle de la fig.2 d'une variante dans laquelle l'intercalaire forme pochette, la fige 3 est une coupe partielle suivant la ligne III-III de la fig. 1 à plus grande échelle, les fig. 4, 5 et 6 montrent, en perspective, également à plus grande échelle, trois types d'index de classement montés sur l'intercalaire de la fig. l, la fige 7 montre de face une variante d'intercalaire suivant l'invention dont les index sont des index de signali- sation, les fig.
8 et 9 sont des coupes partielles, à plus grande échelle, faites respectivement suivant les lignes VIII-VIII et IX-IX de la fige 7, et les fig. 10 et 11 montrent, en perspective et à plus grande échelle également, deux types d'index de signalisation de l'intercalaire représenté à la fige 7.

Sur la partie marginale de cet intercalaire opposée aux perforations 2 se trouve une bande 3, dont les deux bords sont fixés sur ledit intercalaire. Cette bande peut être, par exemple, également en matière plastique et fixée sur l'interca- laire par soudure thermique ou électronique, par exemple.
Entre l'intercalaire 1 et la bande 3 est donc formé une sorte de canal que l'on obstrue, de préférence, à l'une de ses extrémités et dans lequel est enfilée une bande d'accrochage

Le bord externe de la bande 3 est muni, de préférence sur toute sa longueur, d'une série d'ajourages 5 qui laissent entre eux de petites cloisons 6 A travers ces ajourages 5, on peut enfiler le talon 7 (fig.4) d'un index 8 de façon à le faire passer entre l'interca laire 1 et la bande d'accrochage 4. Un bord relevé 9 prévu à l'extrémité du talon 7 vient se verrouiller contre la tranche in- terne de la bande d'aooroohage 4, de sorte que l'index est main- tenant immobilisé dans l'ajourage de l'intercalaire.
L'index 8 présente, de préférence, une partie 11 repliée sur elle-même pour former une sorte de petit canal dans lequel on peut enfiler tout indice de classement convenable 12, tel que la lettre A montrée, à titre d'exemple, sur la fig. 4, l'index 8 étant évidem ment lui-même en une matière transparente. De préférence, le talon 7 de l'index est en une matière présentant une certaine élasticité pour faciliter l'accrochage et le décrochage du bord relevé 9 lors du montage ou du démontage de l'index.
A titre de variante, on pourrait aussi faire l'index 8 en une matière opaque qui porterait, sur sa face visible, l'indice de classement désiré.
Au lieu de rapporter une bande 3 sur l'intercalaire 1, on pourrait aussi prendre l'intercalaire dans une feuille plus large dont on replierait le bord sur lui-même après avoir pratiqua les ajourages 5. Il suffirait ensuite de coller ou nouder le bord ainsi replié, contre l'intercalaire.

La série d'ajourages 5 permet de disposer, sur l'in- tercalaire, un ou plusieurs index, tel que l'index 8 de la fig. 4, et elle permet aussi de disposer des index plus longs tels que, par exemple, l'index double 13 de la fig. 5 ou l'index triple 14 de la fig. 6. Dans ce cas, l'index comporte plusieurs talons 7 qui s'engagent dans des ajourages adjacents 5 l'intercalaire dont les petites cloisons 6 se legent alors dans les encoches 15 correspondantes qui séparent les talons 7 de ces inde::,
L'intercalaire 1 peut aussi être forme d'une feuille double de façon à constituer une pochette, comme indique, en coupe sur la fig. 2. Dans ce cas, la feuille du dessus 17 pourra avantageusement constituer en même temps la bande 3.
Sur la fig. 7, on a représenté une variante dans la- quelle les index sont des index de signalisation, généralement colorés et de dimensions souvent plus petites.
Le principe de montage des index sur l'intercalaire 1 est le même que dans le mode de réalisation décrit plus haut.
Les ajourages 5 sont plus petits et plus nombreux. Chaque index est constitué par une simple plaquette telle que 18 (fig. 10) dont une extrémité constitue le talon 9 d'accrochage. On peut également prévoir des index plus grands, comme par exemple l'index 19 de la fig. 11, en les munissant de plusieurs talons 7.
D'une façon générale, la bande 3 qui contribue à former le canal dans lequel est logée la bande d'accrochage, peut être soit opaque et porter éventuellement des inscriptions, soit transparente, et, dans ce cas, c'est la bande d'accrochage qui peut éventuellement porter des inscriptions.
