<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

is carried out intermittently, and in which the frames are kept in a substantially horizontal position, after which demoulding takes place by means of an ejector or buffer member which pushes the tile or the like downwards, at the bottom. - below the aforementioned frame,
The invention relates to a device for picking up the ejected tiles and for transporting them in a substantially radial direction or in any case towards the outside of the machine.
In essence, the device comprises a guide means for a carriage or slide which is automatically controlled so as to come to be placed below a mold and to move away from it, this carriage or slide being provided with at least a vertically movable and orientable platform so as to avoid the fall of the tile and to adapt to the location of the tile itself.
The support platform is practically carried by a movable frame along vertical guide members carried in turn by the carriage or slide; this frame cooperates with devices which, due to the movement of the carriage or slide towards the demolding position, determine the lifting of the platform to approach the tile to be ejected; this frame is lowered during the ejection of the tile downwards, in order to ensure the subsequent transfer of the same tile with the carriage to a location remote from the mold.
The carriage or slide may also be arranged so as to simultaneously move the plate of the mold which, during the operation of pressing or pressure molding the tile, is located below said frame.

A housing 20 covering the organs contained in. the base frame 1, and which rotates with all the molds, carries, in relation to each mold, a stop 21, provided with a chamfer thanks to which, when the bed 20 rotates, the finger 19 is- lowers and the stopper 21 crosses this finger, while the housing 11 is held by the spring 13 against a shoulder.

In the guides or raceways 12, of the housing 11, moves, on rollers 23 or the equivalent thereof, a carriage 24, the movements of which are controlled by a bar 25, one end of which pivots at 26. on housing 11 and the other,

24 by means of a longitudinal mortise in which is housed a pin 27 carried by a portion 24a of the carriage 24. The carriage 24 carries a vertical frame 28 which forms two opposing tracks 28a; along these raceways move rollers 29 carried by a vertical cheek 30 suspended from a horizontal plate 81 Consequently, this horizontal plate 31 can move vertically along slides 28a.
A spring 32 can facilitate the. mounting of the assembly 30, 31, while the pads 33, urged by springs 34 against the bottom of the slides
28a produce an adjustable friction suitable for maintaining the position achieved by the aforementioned assembly 30, 31 as a function of the command carried out.
When the. bar 25, controlled as described below, pushes the carriage in the direction of arrow a (fig. 4), that is to say towards the machine in order to present the said carriage below the frame 3 which is in position ci (-, demoulding, the assembly 30, 31 ost

For this purpose, a ramp 34 has been provided in a fixed location on the casing 11 on which a roller 35 mounted on one is carried. lever 36 articulated on a bracket 37 integral with the assembly
30, 31, this lever being urged in direct sound, looking at Figs. 3 and 4, by an appropriate spring, this bias tending to apply said assembly against a stop shown in these same figures 3 and 4.
When the carriage 24 moves between the position indicated in Fig. 3 and the position indicated in Fig. 4 and beyond, the assembly 30, 31 is raised and the upward movement thus produced is such that applied against the lower edge of the frame 3, the platform or platforms 39 carried by the horizontal plate 31. These platforms 39 can be oriented so as to become parallel to the pressed tile to be removed from the mold; for this purpose, each plate is supported, at one end, on two adjustable studs and is articulated, at the other end, on a support 38 comprising two pivot axes perpendicular to the platform and to the plate 31.
The position reached by the assembly 30, 31, 39 is maintained thanks to the pads 33 even after the gale t 35 has passed the top of the profile of the ramp 34 to reach the extreme position in which the platforms 39 are located below. frame 3.
When the carriage has reached and comes to a stop in the aforementioned position, the ejector 6, thanks to an appropriate and known control device, is pushed downwards in order to eject the tile or tiles,
Going down, the tiles gently come into contact with the platforms 39 and, due to the. thrust produced by the ejector 6, the assembly 30, 81, 39 is lowered with the tiles themselves insofar as the descent of the ejector 6 requires, that is to say up to at the time

The movement of the lever 25 which controls the carriage 24 can be obtained by means of a device comprising a piston 40 linked to said lever and a cylinder 41 which pivots on the casing 11. This device will be controlled, preferably, by a pneumatic or hydraulic fluid under the control of appropriate parts of the machine, thanks to an arrangement known per se. In turn, the carriage 24 can authorize other movements of the machine, for example the actuation of the ejector 6, when the latter reaches the position in which the platforms 39 are ready to receive the ejected tile or tiles.
For this purpose, a micro-contact 44 or any other equivalent member can be provided,
Using a bracket 45 with two ramps, the carriage can control the mold-holder plate 4 which is Six :; an arm 46 whose head, in the shape of an alet or sound.
