milk, a friction disc.
-An embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of non-limiting example, in the accompanying drawings in connection with a device to be cleaned or stripped serving to remove scale from treated work pieces. hot, such as square, hexagonal, corner and T-bar profiles.
FIG. 1 shows the schematic arrangement of a device to be cleaned consisting of two projection wheels mounted in a cleaning chamber with a workpiece passing through this chamber on two advancement rolls.
FIG. 2 represents an advancement cylinder comprising a friction disc.
FIG. 3 diagrammatically represents the control of an advancement cylinder with a common drive shaft for several cylinders.
Figure 4 is a section through the edge of the friction disc.
As can be seen in the form of borehole shown in FIG. 1, the advancement or transport rollers 1. which are mounted on shafts 11, pass the workpiece to be worked in the form of a tube or bar. , for example an angle iron, through a cleaning chamber 3, advantageously made of sheet metal, the outline of which is shown in phantom. Dacy projection wheels 4, which can be driven by one or two electric motors, not shown, are mounted on the upper part of this cleaning chamber 3. These projection wheels 4 each project a jet onto the workpiece 2 to be cleaned 2. 5 of a stripping or cleaning product consisting, for example, of steel gravel, steel shot or small pieces of steel wire.
Instead of two projection wheels 4, it would however also be possible to use several wheels or even a single wheel.
Doors 6, fitted with gaskets, are widely provided at the entry point of the workpiece into the cleaned room.

<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The shafts 11, arranged in a horizontal plane, are supported, at determined distances which are adjusted according to the work pieces to be treated, in bearings 14, represented diagrammatically on the longitudinal members also represented diagrammatically in FIG. 3 and protruding from both sides of the cleaning chamber 3. These shafts could also be arranged at an angle to the horizontal. The advancing bodies 1, having a cylindrical enveloping surface, are mounted on the shafts 11, these bodies also being able to have an enveloping surface, the diameter of which is reduced towards the end provided with the disc. friction 7. All these cylinders 1 are arranged, with their axis, to form an acute angle Ó with respect to the direction of transport indicated by arrow 13.
Depending on the work piece 2, the transport rollers 1 can be arranged, with regard to this angle Ó, so as to be able to move in a manner not shown on the side members 12. In the example shown, a friction disc 7, fixed on the cylinder 1, and mounted perpendicular to the axis of this advancement cylinder, is (provided on one of the two end faces of each of these cylinders 1, the periphery of this disc 7 advantageously having an elastic lining.
The advancement rolls 1 could however also be provided with friction discs 7 on the two end faces; however, the useful width of the cylindrical roller 1 must be adapted to the width of the work pieces to be treated. The embodiment with friction discs on both sides allows the device to be used in both directions of transport.
Fig. 4 shows, by way of example, how an easily interchangeable ring 8, having good adhesion, preferably of rubber and within which, advantageously, a coil spring 15 has been arranged, can be arranged. engaged in a groove. 16. The friction disc 7, that is to say its ring 8, touches

then tangentially from the side the workpiece 2 under a certain pressure, so that, as a result of the gripping action, the workpiece 2, advanced in the axial direction, additionally performs a rotation or a continuous tilting movement around its own axis. As a result, a combined forward movement in the form of a helix is obtained.
As can be seen in FIG. 3, the advancement rollers or cylinders 1 are driven from the shafts 11, preferably by a common shaft 9, by means of a pair of bevel gears 10. transport 1 and the friction discs 7, fixed on these cylinders, can be mounted on
