  "SUSPENSION SOUPLE POUR BICYCLETTES" 
L'invention à pour objet,un dispositif nouveau,assurant aux cycles,et plus particulièrement a,ux bicyclettes,une suspension très souple. 



   Cette suspension selon 1$ invention, est essentiellement constituée et caractérisée par: 
I /- En ce qui concerne la Suspension arrière,par un berceau oscillant (a-fig.1 et a'-fig.2 et fig.3) remplaçant les éléments de cadre traditionnels. 



   Ce berceau,sur lequel est montée la roue arrière,oscille autour ci'un axe (b-fig.1- b'-fig.2 - c et c'-fig.3)qui se confond avec   1' axe   du pédalier. 



   Les oscillations du berceau sont freinées et asservies par un élément amortisseur élastique approprié (d-fig.l et   d'-fig.2)   à anncaux ou ruban de caoutchouc,ou   encore, de'.ressorts   à. boudin ou à lames,par exemple. 



   2 - En ce qui concerne la suspension avant,par une fourche articulée (e-fig.1 et e'-fig.2 et fig.4),fourche dont l'axe d'articulation est monté dans une chape (f-fig.1- f'-fig.2 et fig.5), solidaire de la potence de   direction.   



   Les oscillations de cette fourche sont freinées et asservies par un élément amortisseur élastique   approprié;des   enroulements d'anneaux ou de rubans de caoutchouc,ou encore de ressorts

 ressorts à boudin ou à lames (g-fig.l et g'-fig.2). 



   3 /- En ce qui concerne l'ensemble du cycle,par la conjugaison des asservissements souples,arrière et avant,qui assurent; à la suspension,des réactions compensées amorties. 



   L'examen du dessin fait bien comprendre comment le cadre est articulé,et l'action des amortisseurs.- La fig.l représente la bicyclette au repos;la fig.2,représente la bicyclette déformée sous l'action d'une charge,ou d'un obstacle;on remarque en (g' et (d') l'extension des amortisseurs rétablissant l'équilibre. 



   L'invention vise: 
A - Le procédé et moyen industriel nouveau de réalisation d'une bicyclette,dont la conception du cadre et sa déformation conditio- nnent la suspension. 



   B - Les applications et combinaisons diverses de moyens nnus, mises en oeuvre pour sa réalisation. 



   C - A titre de produit industriel nouveau,les bicyclettes selon l'invention. 



   Un mode de réalisation de la présente invention, donné à titre d'exemple énonciatif et non limitatif, est décrit ci-dessous et illustré par les figures de la planche unique,les particularités qui ressortent,tant du texte, que du dessin,faisant,bien entendu, partie de la dite invention. 



   La description se bornera à préciser la conception et le:- montage des éléments nouveaux, faisant l'objet .du présent brevet. 



   I - Le berceau   (fig.3),est   composé de deux flancs (h   et.h')   en tubes d'acier,mis en forme et soudés sur les bagues   (iet   i'),les deux sont reliés par les entretoises (j et k).- Les bagues sont garnies de coussinets coniques,en matière appropriée au frotte- ment (1 et   1'-fig.6).   



   22/- La boite de pédalier (m),représentée en coupe en (m-fig.6) -est également garnie extérieurement de bagues-coussinets coniques: (n et n'). 



   Le montage des flancs du berceau,suivant (fig.6) est assuré

 ...par l'entretoise (k), dont la vis (o),comportant pas   à   droite et pas à gauche,permet de régler le serrage des bagues de coussinets. 



   3 /- La potence de direction (fig.5) comporte une chape (p) ou on remarque,en   (q),l'axe   de montage de la fourche,en (r) et (s), les tétons-bobines de fixation des caoutchouc, ou des ressorts. 



   4 /- La fourche présente une tête spéciale avec trou (t-fig.4) pour le passage de l'axe et des deux tétons-bobines (u et v) qui servent à la fixation des amortisseurs,caoutchouc om ressorts.

  "SOFT SUSPENSION FOR BICYCLES"
The invention relates to a new device, providing cycles, and more particularly a, ux bicycles, a very flexible suspension.



   This suspension according to the invention is essentially constituted and characterized by:
I / - Regarding the rear suspension, by an oscillating cradle (a-fig.1 and a'-fig.2 and fig.3) replacing the traditional frame elements.



   This cradle, on which the rear wheel is mounted, oscillates around ci'un axis (b-fig.1- b'-fig.2 - c and c'-fig.3) which merges with one axis of the crankset.



   The oscillations of the cradle are braked and controlled by an appropriate elastic damping element (d-fig.l and d-fig.2) with anncaux or rubber tape, or even de'.ressorts. sausage or blades, for example.



   2 - As regards the front suspension, by an articulated fork (e-fig. 1 and e'-fig. 2 and fig. 4), fork whose articulation axis is mounted in a yoke (f-fig .1- f'-fig.2 and fig.5), integral with the steering stem.



   The oscillations of this fork are braked and controlled by an appropriate elastic damping element; windings of rings or rubber bands, or even springs

 coil or leaf springs (g-fig.l and g'-fig.2).



   3 / - With regard to the whole cycle, by the combination of flexible, rear and front controls, which ensure; with the suspension, damped compensated reactions.



   Examination of the drawing makes it clear how the frame is articulated, and the action of the shock absorbers. - Fig. 1 represents the bicycle at rest; Fig. 2 represents the bicycle deformed under the action of a load, or an obstacle; one notices in (g 'and (d') the extension of the shock absorbers restoring the equilibrium.



   The invention aims:
A - The new process and industrial means for producing a bicycle, the design of the frame and its deformation of which condition the suspension.



   B - The various applications and combinations of naked means used for its realization.



   C - As a new industrial product, the bicycles according to the invention.



   An embodiment of the present invention, given by way of enunciative and non-limiting example, is described below and illustrated by the figures of the single plate, the particularities which emerge, both from the text and from the drawing, making, of course, part of said invention.



   The description will be limited to specifying the design and: - assembly of the new elements, which are the subject of this patent.



   I - The cradle (fig. 3), is made up of two sides (h and.h ') in steel tubes, shaped and welded on the rings (i and i'), the two are connected by the spacers ( j and k) .- The rings are fitted with conical bearings, made of a material suitable for friction (1 and 1'-fig.6).



   22 / - The bottom bracket (m), shown in section in (m-fig. 6) - is also lined on the outside with conical bushings: (n and n ').



   The mounting of the sides of the cradle, according to (fig. 6) is ensured

 ... by the spacer (k), the screw (o) of which, with right-hand and left-hand threads, is used to adjust the tightening of the bearing rings.



   3 / - The steering stem (fig. 5) has a yoke (p) where we notice, at (q), the mounting axis of the fork, at (r) and (s), the spool nipples fixing of rubber or springs.



   4 / - The fork has a special head with a hole (t-fig. 4) for the passage of the axle and the two spool nipples (u and v) which are used to fix the shock absorbers, rubber or springs.
