This device consists of a round box A having a wall B branching out in the form of two nests C and D. The boot A is closed by a transparent cover F, on which is marked an indicator arrow K.
A ball E is placed in the box. The rear part of box A has a button G on which a ribbon J is attached allowing the indicator to be attached to the steering wheel of the car. (Figures 1, 2 and 3).
The indicator is fixed in the middle of the steering wheel M or on one of its spokes; (diagram Fig. 12 and 13).
Fig. 1 represents the position of the indicator when the wheels of the car are in the straight forward position (diagram "a"). If you turn the steering wheel with the indicator half a turn following the arrow X wall B with arrow K will be at the bottom, and ball E on the left side of wall B. (Fig. 4). In this case the wheels of the car are in the "right" steering position; (diagram "b") If we continue to turn the handwheel another 90, wall B raises the ball E (fig. 5) and after another 90, that is to say after a full turn (fig. 6) ) the ball E will fall into the nest D.
It would even be possible to make another quarter turn and the ball E would remain in the nest D (fig. 7). To obtain again the position shown in fig. 1 the voltant must be turned a turn and a quarter following the - arrow Y. (fig. 7).
Now if we continue to turn the handwheel following arrow Y by half a turn, wall B will be at the bottom and ball E will take place on the right side of wall B (fig. 8). In this case the wheels of the car will be in the "left-steering" position (diagram "c"). If we continue to turn the indicator 90 the wall B raises the ball E (fig. 9) and after having turned 90 more, i.e. one full turn in total, the ball E will fall into the nest C, and the wheels will take a more accentuated position to the left (diagram "g") (Fig. 10). It would even be possible to make another 1/4 turn and the ball E would remain in the nest C. (Fig. 10). .ll).
To obtain again the position corresponding to fig. 1 it is necessary to turn the handwheel according to the arrow X for 1 turn and a quarter. In total, the indicator can be used for two and a half turns of the steering wheel, that is to say enough to use this device, on most types of cars.
In order to clearly notice the direction of rotation of the flywheel, the bottom of box A is in two different colors. For example, the left part R in red color and the right part 7 in green color.
