<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Bien entendu, il serait, également, possible de monter ce mur sur une assise à face supérieure sans ressaut en utilisant, pour la première assise des clavettes de longueur réduite ou trongonnées en longueur comme dans le mur précédent les éléments 1 et sont isolés les uns des autres par tout liant désiré;
Figure ? le mur représenté comporte des éléments .1 à redan central et des clavettes ici, ces clavettes sont engagées comme dans le mur de la figure 2, seulement, dans un élément à redan; de plus, ces éléments .1 et ces clavettes sont combinées avec des éléments 5, dont la partie centrale présente latéralement un nez destiné à être engagé dans le redan 4 d'un élément.1;

In the wall of Fig. 0 the two facing faces p and p2 present identical equipment to the observer, these two faces may therefore have identical or different facings depending on whether the elements 1 used for the constitution of these two faces have identical facing faces or not.
Figo 2, the wall shown is formed of elements identical to those of figo1: brick.1 with central step 1. and keys; this wall differs from the previous wall in the following points
1 .the facing elements 1, similar to the previous ones and arranged like these, with their central stepped face towards the inside of the wall are from one face to the other of the wall, offset in height.
2 in the direction of the height of the wall, and on each face of the mura they are separated from each other by a key o

The lower base of such a wall rests on a sole made of any desired material, concrete, cement, etc., the upper face of which has a recess against which the lower part of the wall is applied. element .1 of the first course.
Of course, it would also be possible to mount this wall on a base with an upper face without a step by using, for the first course, keys of reduced length or cut in length as in the previous wall, the elements 1 and are isolated from each other. another by any desired binder;
cement mortar, grout etc. ,,
When the wall of this figure 2 is built with keys of a horizontal length equal to that of the keys of the wall of figure 1, it has a thickness less than that of the wall of this figure 1, since the keys are visible, by one of their ends, on a facing face, which reduces to a distance of (d) the distance existing between the elements with step 1-1 opposite in the same course
But it is obvious that a wall similar to that of figure 2 and having the same thickness as that of figure 1 could be established using keys of a length greater than that of the keys of the wall of figure 1 .
In the wall of figure 2, the two facing faces of this wall have identical fittings to each other, but different from those of the facing faces of the wall of figure lo
Figure? the wall shown has elements .1 central step and keys here, these keys are engaged as in the wall of Figure 2, only in a step element; in addition, these elements .1 and these keys are combined with elements 5, the central part of which laterally has a nose intended to be engaged in the step 4 of an element.1;
