ELASTIC DEVICE FOR SEATS AND BACKRESTS OF SEATS AND ARMCHAIRS, FOR
SUMMERS, MATTRESSES AND ANALOGUES.
The present invention relates to an elastic device for the seats and backs of seats and armchairs, for box springs, mattresses and the like. This device consists of a frame on the periphery of which are arranged spring clips on which are stretched one or more cables of superpolyamide known commercially under the name of "Nylon", or of a material having similar elastic properties.
Thanks to the elasticity of the cable combined with the elasticity of the spring clips, one obtains a very great flexibility at the same time as a very great lightness.
The usual padding and lining are applied to the network made up of the stretched cable.
The description which follows relates to an embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention in which the spring clips have a special arrangement which also comes within the scope of the invention. However, it is clearly specified that this is only a non-limiting example.
Fig.1 of the accompanying drawing shows a plan view of a chair back frame produced according to the invention.
Figo 2 is a perspective view of the attachment device before its installation on the tube constituting the frame of the backrest.
Fig.3 an elevational view of the same device placed on the tube.
As can be seen in FIG. 2, the fastening device consists of a stirrup a whose branches extend in the form of coil springs b. After the coils of the springs the ends c

of the caliper have a curved shape having substantially the same curvature as the inner wall of the tube 1 on which the fastening device is to be hooked. The tube has two holes.! the spacing of which corresponds to that of the ends of the caliper.
It suffices to engage the ends of the caliper in the holes e until the springs b come into contact with the outer wall of the tube d (figo 3). A traction exerted by the caliper in the direction of the arrow applies the curved parts ± on the inner wall of the tube with all the more force as the tensile force is greater, so that the attachment is carried out in a safe and automatic manner.
Figure 1 shows the frame of an armchair back formed by tubes ± in which the spring clips are hung in the stirrups through which the "Nylon" cable passes in a zigzag fashion.
As specified above, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment which has been described and shown. The hanging system can be different and can be used with profiles other than tubes CLAIMS
1) Resilient device for seats and backs of seats and armchairs for box springs, mattresses and the like, characterized in that it consists of a frame on the periphery of which are arranged spring clips on which are stretched one or more cables superpolyamides ("Nylon" 0 or a material having similar elastic properties.
