<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

WOODEN CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS.
The present invention relates to a wooden frame which can, at least in part, be put in place before the construction of a masonry wall which surrounds it, the frame comprising two elements which partially overlap and which are rendered integral with the wall by at least one fastening device.
Sockets of this type, known until now, are made of solid wood. @, @
During the construction of the masonry, the water contained therein strongly moistens the timber of the splay which deforms and warps.
The present invention relates to a wooden frame which does not have the aforementioned drawback.
According to the invention, each of the elements is made of multiplex glued with a rot-proof material and is made water-repellent by a treatment using synthetic resins.
In a particular embodiment of the base according to the invention, one end of each fastening device is clamped between the two elements which partially overlap.
Advantageously, the outer element forming part of the covering is provided with a seal made of an elastically deformable material, forming a stop, for example for a door. This seal makes closing the door tight and silent.
More advantageously, the seal is partially housed in a rigid support fixed at least to the outer element forming part of the covering.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention also relates to a window comprising wooden elements.
In windows of this type, known to date, the elements are made of solid wood. Due to successive periods of cold and hot, drought and humidity, these elements are deformed .. warp and split
The present invention also relates to a window which does not have the aforementioned drawback.
According to the invention, each of said wooden elements is made of a multiplex glued with a rot-proof material and is made water-repellent by a treatment with synthetic resins.
In one form of application of the invention relating to a window comprising at least one element pivotably mounted on another element, for example by means of hinges. at least one of the adjacent faces of the two elements considered has, in the direction of its length, at least one recess. The purpose of this recess is to lower the pressure of the air which hits the window externally.
Advantageously, at least one recess in one face is opposite a recess in the other face.
In another form of application of the invention relating to a window comprising elements which overlap, such as two mullioned leaves. ,, at least one of the elements is provided with a plate which covers the other of these. elements. The purpose of this plate is to prevent air from entering the space between the two elements.
Advantageously; a seal, made of a deformable elastic material, is interposed between the plate and the element which it covers.
All the construction elements according to the invention allow a strong reduction in the section of the wood used, so that. in particular for windows, this results in a significant increase in the opening of the frame (glazed space) compared to constructions with solid wood elements.
In addition, the multiplex panels, after gluing, should no longer be monitored like solid wood planks .. so that the labor for this monitoring is no longer necessary.
In addition, only two or three thicknesses of multiplex are necessary for the current work to be carried out whereas, to manufacture the solid wood elements, one had to have very many thicknesses of boards.
A better understanding of the invention and of its characteristics will be obtained by reading the following description of embodiments of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which: - Figure 1 is a horizontal section in a vertical part of a frame according to the invention; and FIGS. 2 and 3 are each a horizontal section in a different vertical part of a window according to the invention.
The wooden frame shown in Figure 1 which can, at least in part be put in place before the construction of the wall 2 which surrounds it comprises in known manner two elements 3 and 4 which overlap
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
partially and which are each associated with a frame 5 and 6 respectively. The two elements 3 and 4 are made integral with the wall 2 by at least one attachment device 7.
According to the invention, each of the elements 3 and 4 is made of multiplex glued with the aid of a rot-proof material and is then made water-repellent by a treatment using synthetic resins, for example by impregnation.
Advantageously. one end 7a of each fastening device 7 is clamped between the two elements 3 and 4 which partially overlap. This end 7a is made integral with the elements 3 and 4, for example by screws 8 and 9
More advantageously. the outer element 3, forming part of the covering is provided with a seal 10 of an elastically deformable material, forming a stop, for example, for a door shown diagrammatically at 11.
Even more advantageously, the seal 10 is partially housed in a rigid support 12 fixed at least to the outer element 3 forming part of the covering, for example, by means of screws 13.
Figures 2 and 3 each represent a horizontal section in a different vertical part of a window, comprising in a known manner wooden elements 14, 15, 16 and 17.
According to the invention, each of said elements 14, 15, 16 and 17 is made of multiplex glued using a rot-proof material and is then made water-repellent by treatment with synthetic resins, for example by impregnation.
As shown in Figure 2, in the window comprising at least one element such as a walnut leaf 15 pivotally mounted on another element, such as a frame 14, thanks to hinges 18, at least one of the adjacent faces 14a and 15a of the two elements 14 and 15 under consideration, has in the direction of its length at least one recess, specifically 19 and 20.
Advantageously, at least one recess 19 or 20 in one face, respectively 14a or 15a, is opposite a recess, respectively 20 or 19, in the other face, respectively 15a or 14a.
As shown in Figure 3, in the window comprising elements such as two mullioned leaves 16 and 17, at least one of the elements 16 or 17 is provided with a plate 21 or 22 which covers the other of these elements, respectively 17 or 16. The plate 21 or 22 is fixed to one element respectively 16 or 17 by means of screws 23 or 24 respectively.
Advantageously, a seal 25 or 26 made of an elastically deformable material is interposed between the plate 21 or 22 respectively and the element which it covers, respectively 17 or 16, said seal 21 or 22 being fixed to one of these. this. Thus in the present embodiment, the gasket 25 or 26 is fixed to the element 17 or 16 respectively by clamping in a groove, respectively 27 or 28 of respectively 17 or 16.
It is obvious that the embodiments described above are given by way of example and without limitation and that modifications can be made thereto, provided that the new embodiment obtained is not in contradiction with each of the following claims .
