CEILING HEATING INSTALLATION.
The present improvement relates to the ceiling heating installation especially suitable for the heating of work and living spaces, described in the main patent applied for on May 2, 1953 under No. 406,938 and characterized in that the air heater air which produces a circulation of hot air sweeping the surface of the ceiling is arranged between the ceiling of the room and at least one screen. In the advanced system, the ceiling heating system and the room lighting system are combined in one installation.
The new installation differs from known installations of this type in that the two heating and lighting devices are preferably covered on the side of the room to be heated and illuminated by at least one screen which reflects the light rays or the heat rays. or these two kinds of rays at the same time. According to another feature, a special screen can be fitted to the ceiling of the room for the distribution of hot air and of light rays, which if desired, further thermally insulates the heating device from the ceiling. On the local side, the heating device can be covered with a special screen, preferably capable of reflecting light.
Three exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown schematically in section in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment where the heating and lighting devices are fixed to the ceiling 1 of the room, preferably in the middle thereof. The heater 3 and the lighting device 8 have a common support 9. The common constituent elements are furthermore the screens 10, 11 and 12 which serve to distribute the air heated by the heater 3 and at the same time to reflect the light produced by the lighting apparatus 8. The screens are established and fitted out for indirect lighting. At the same time, screen 11 covers heating device 3.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment comprising an installation similar to that of FIG. 1, but where the screen 12 is established and arranged relative to the lighting device 8 in such a way that direct lighting of the room is obtained.
Fig. 3 shows an installation where the heating and lighting device is arranged on an edge of the ceiling 1. 3 designates the heating device 13 the lighting device, and 14 the heat-insulating screen which protects the wall and the ceiling of the room against the action of the heating device. The screen 14 can also be established as a support for the heating and lighting device. The screen 15 serves to distribute the hot air and at the same time it constitutes a reflector for the lighting device 13 for indirect lighting of the room. The lower screen 16 also distributes the air and at the same time covers the heating device 1.
In all the execution examples of the new installation, the ceiling itself or the screen installed directly there can also be used as hot air distributors and reflectors. This is particularly seen in FIG. 3 where the ceiling and its screen 14 serve, apart from distributing the hot air, as light-reflecting surfaces for imlirect lighting. For the rest, the same arrangements and the same process as those described and claimed in the main patent can be used for heating the room.
CLAIMS
I.- Installation of heating and lighting by the ceiling according to the main patent, in which the heating device and the lighting device are arranged together below the ceiling of the loca, characterized in that preferably the two devices are covered on the side of the room to be heated and illuminated by at least one screen which reflects the light rays or the heat rays or both kinds of rays.
