La fig; 1 montre la partie avant d'une machine à main à commande électrique, munie du dispositif selon l'intention;
La fige 2 est une vue partielle de face de la fige 1, c'est-àdire tournée de 90 par rapport à celle-ci ;

DEVICE FOR CUTTING FLAT APPLIANCES.
The invention relates to a device for cutting plaster appliances applied to the human body and consists in that this device is established as a combination of sawing and shearing devices working together.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention In these drawings:
Fig; 1 shows the front part of an electrically controlled hand machine, fitted with the device according to the intention;
Fig 2 is a partial front view of Fig 1, that is to say rotated by 90 relative to the latter;
Fig. 3 is a sectional view of part of the tool, taken along line II-II of fig.l, and
Fig '4 is a sectional view along the line I-I of Fig.1.
An oscillating tool 2 is mounted in a cantilevered flow in a head 1 connected to the device, so that it can be moved at a rapid rate up and down by means of a control mechanism arranged in the device. the device. Tool 2 has a generally flat shape and has saw teeth 3 at its front longitudinal edge. Its free end, directed downwards, is sharpened on one side in a chisel-like fashion, as shown in 4, and the cutting edge thus formed extends transversely to the series of saw teeth:
The device is provided with a support foot 5, so that during its use, it can be guided by hand, by sliding on this foot.
The support foot 5 then engages between the plaster apparatus and the part of the body which supports it, thus avoiding any injury to the latter during the cutting of the plaster apparatus. The 5-foot has a small over-

load-bearing face and is well rounded in all directions, so that it does not give rise to annoying resistance when changes of direction occur in service. Its upper part is shaped so as to form a counter-cutting edge 6 of the shearing device, directed upwards and cooperating with the cutting edge 4 of the tool.
The saw teeth of the tool 2 are directed in such a way that the shear strokes coincide each time with the empty strokes of the saw; in this way, uneven loading of the tool is avoided.
The toothed part of it is, moreover; sharply thinned towards career in the form of a dovetail, as shown in 7, so that the tool is free in the line it forms.
The connection between the support foot 5 and the neighboring part of the housing of the device is made by means of a relatively wide blade 8, the thickness of which corresponds approximately to the thickness of the thinned part of the tool 2 The front edge of this blade is parallel to the dorsal face of the oscillating tool and the gap between them is small, so that in use the dorsal face of the tool can rest against the blade and take press on it.
CLAIMS.
