Selon l'invention, le dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il com- porte un bâti ; des moyens pour fixer ledit bâti à une des extrémités du véhi- cule,; dé préférence un véhicule automobile; une benne ou similaire s'ouvrant sur l'avant et se déplaçant le long du dit bâti; des moyens pour commander ladite benne ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

DEVICE ADAPTABLE TO ANY SPECIES OF VEHICLE FOR CLEARING, TRANSPORT
AND THE LOADING OF MATERIALS SUCH AS EARTH, GRAVEL AND THE LIKE.
The present invention relates to a device adaptable to any type of vehicle, for clearing, transporting and loading various materials, such as earth, gravel and the like.
The device which he. is, is used for excavation and. the lifting of materials of all kinds, such as earth, gravel, coal, etc., and their subsequent transport, as required, from one place to another, or their loading onto transport vehicles without for this having to resort to the use of complicated organs, easily damaged, and therefore expensive. and difficult to implement. Said device can be adapted advantageously, not exclusively, for leveling land and for similar uses.
According to the invention, the device is characterized in that it comprises a frame; means for fixing said frame to one of the ends of the vehicle; preferably a motor vehicle; a bucket or the like opening to the front and moving along said frame; means for controlling said bucket;
guide members for this bucket arranged so as to present a first practically vertical section connected at its upper part to a section suitably inclined with respect to the first and oriented upwards, this second section being connected to a curved end section of so that during the lifting of the skip the bottom of the latter first takes on a more or less horizontal shape, and successively a slightly inclined shape so that the edge of the loading opening is facing upwards, after which, in correspondence with the curved section of the guides, the bucket is tilted in order to cause the emptying of the materials it contains.
According to the invention, the frame is formed, among other things, by a pair of juxtaposed guides, each of which is constituted by a grooved section, between the wings of which move rollers carried laterally by
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the bucket and which are used to move the latter along a pre-established path.
Depending on the application reserved for the device in question, the guides may be, at least partially, articulated with the aim of imparting, to at least one section of said guides, a variable shape as required.
The device according to the invention can comprise means capable of receiving, with the possibility of substitution, a bucket, a share, or any other equivalent or similar member, with a view to clearing and laterally moving the materials in question.
Some embodiments of the device and of its constructive and functional characteristics, given by way of nonlimiting example, are shown in the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows, in side elevation, a vehicle comprising the device. according to the invention.
Figure 2 is a plan view of this device.
FIG. 3 also shows, in side elevation, a variant of the same device.
FIG. 4 is a detail of an alternative embodiment of the guides.
Figures 5 and 6 show other variant embodiments of the guides of the bucket.
Figures 7 and 8 are details on a larger scale.
Figures 9 and 10 show in side elevation a vehicle on which can be fitted a bucket connected to a leveling ploughshare.
In Figures 1 and 2, the device according to the invention is indicated by A; this device is removably mounted on the front part of a vehicle B of a suitable type.
The device A comprises a frame consisting, among other things, of two uprights 10 arranged in correspondence with the lateral ends of the vehicle B. Each upright 10 is formed by a grooved section, for example having a U-shape and having a first section 12. vertically. This section is connected to a second curved section 14, followed by a rectilinear section 16, suitably inclined upwards for reasons which will be explained below.
The rectilinear section 16 is connected to the curved section 18 which may end between a roughly horizontal section 20.
Between the guides 10 is established a bucket 22, open to the front and comprising a knife edge 24 possibly furnished with teeth or members capable of facilitating the introduction of the bucket into the material to be cleared and clearing. if necessary grind large pieces that may come into contact with the edge.
The bucket 22 carries laterally near its rear part of the rollers 26 and 28 which engage in the guides 10. In the illustrated case, the bucket carries on one of its side walls two rollers, which allows it to assume specific positions while moving along the guides 10.
The bucket 22 is connected to a motor means suitable for its control; in the case illustrated and considered, this motor means is constituted by a winch C which can be actuated by the motor of the vehicle B. The motor means can be of any kind, for example of the hydraulic or electric type. The end of the cable D of said winch is connected to a clamp 30 provided near the bottom of the bucket 22. This cable passes over a pulley 32 provided at the end of an upright 34 having a suitable length suitable for the destination of the device ..;) 41
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The bucket can be lifted by means of the winch C.
In this case, the rollers 26, provided at the upper part of said bucket, engage in the section 16 of the guides 10 and come to occupy the position 26 ', while the lower rollers 28, while assuming the position 28 ', remain in engagement with the vertical guide section 12. The bucket then occupies the position 22' indicated in phantom and in which the edge 24 of the loading orifice is oriented upwards; this prevents the material contained in the bucket 22 from falling during the subsequent lifting of the bucket and especially when starting the vehicle B.
In this position, the center of gravity of the skip is very low and the transport is done in ideal conditions.
During the lifting of the bucket 22, the rollers 26 travel the curved section 18 of the guide 10, and come to occupy the position 26 ", while the rollers 28 move to the position 28". Correspondingly, the bucket 22 will occupy the position 22 ", in which its bottom is inclined in a direction opposite to the previous one, that is to say with the loading opening facing downwards, and in which takes place the emptying of the materials contained in the bucket, the complete emptying is carried out easily by engaging the rollers 26 in the horizontal section 20. Afterwards, the bucket is brought back to its original position to repeat the operations. previous ones.
In FIG. 3, the device illustrated is made in such a way as to allow the lifting of the bucket 22a to a height exceeding that of the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2. For this purpose, the guide 10a still consists of the vertical section 12a. , followed by the curved section 14a which has the same characteristics as those represented in FIG. 1. On the other hand, the length of the rectilinear section 16a is greater than that represented by FIG. 1, and this in relation to the length. height provided for tipping the bucket.
It goes without saying that the length of the section 16a could be variable, depending on the application requirements of the device in question.
The guide 10 can also be produced, as shown in FIG. 4, so as to be orientable or articulated as required.
For this purpose, the guide can be constituted by elements 38, affecting any profile, for example a grooved profile, and which are fixed by the intervention of the bolts 40 on the plates 42. These plates have arc slots. 44, in which are engaged the countersunk head bolts 45, intended to tighten the elements 38 against the plates 42 in a determined position.
The plates 42 are in turn fixed to suitable uprights intended to allow the articulation of the guides 10.
In the variant according to FIGS. 5-8, an advantageous embodiment of the device allowing the tipping of the bucket to the desired height is shown. In this variant, A indicates the device suitable for the vehicle B, Said device comprises two guide posts 10 for the bucket 22.
This can be tilted into the position shown in Figure 5, or in that shown in Figure 6.
For this purpose, each guide 10 is provided, in a suitable position, with an auxiliary guide section 70 (see Figures 7 and 8) which is connected to the upright 10 by means of a plate 72 integral with said mon - both and which carries a bolt 74 which constitutes the hinged junction element for said auxiliary guide 70.
This is provided in correspondence with the bolt 74, with a fin 76 which can be arranged transversely with respect to the groove of the profile 10, as shown by FIG. 7, with a view to constituting a deflection element for the sections. rollers 26, 28 of the bucket.
In this way, said rollers cause, by their engagement in the auxiliary guide 70, the tilting of the bucket 22.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
When the bucket 22 is raised to occupy the position shown in Figure 6, the auxiliary guide 70 is rotated so that its longitudinal aue is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the guide 10 and that it corresponds to the rectilinear part 16.
Said guide then occupies the position shown in FIG. 8.
The fin 76 of the auxiliary guide 70 corresponds, in this case, with the notch cut in the main guide, and completes the right wing -, you (according to the drawing) of said main guide.
It follows that when the bucket is lifted, its rollers 26, 28 travel the upper section of the guides 10 to bring the bucket to occupy the position shown in Figure 6.
The device is finally completed by a lock capable of locking the auxiliary guides 70 in the two positions shown in Figures 5 and 6.
These locks can be actuated using hydraulic or electromechanical controls, depending on the requirements and specifications.
FIGS. 9, 11 show the adaptation to the bucket of a share, means being provided for tilting said bucket forward. According to Figure 9, the bucket 22 is produced so as to be able to be blocked against the frame of the vehicle B, this frame projecting outside the front part of the vehicle and serving for fixing the uprights 10.
The latter are produced by removable elements so that during the execution of the operations which are described below, said amounts are reduced in the first part 12.
The bucket 22 is therefore set up so that it can be fixed to the uprights 10 in order to occupy a position in which the cutting edge 24 is directed towards the ground as shown in FIG. 10.
For this purpose, the bucket 22 is provided with means allowing it to tilt downwards.
As shown in the drawings, the upper rollers 26 which engage in the guides 10 can be moved relative to the lower rollers 28. For this purpose, said rollers are fixed laterally on the bucket 22 by means of an oscillating support 50. connected to said bucket by a bolt 52 eccentric with respect to that of the roller considered.
Said support carries a control handle 54 which coops with suitable stops, one of which delimits the position of the rollers, as shown in FIG. 9, while the other stop delimits the position of said rollers 26, shown in FIG. figure 10.
It is obvious that when the lever 54 is acted on, in the direction desired to cause the rollers 26 to pass from their position shown in FIG. 9 to that shown in FIG. 10, the bucket oscillates around the lower rollers 28, so inclining its bottom relative to the horizontal and directing its cutting edge 24 towards the ground.
. In this position (or indeed in that shown in FIG. 9) the bucket is fixed by means of locking bolts 56 which cooperate with the seats provided either on the uprights 10 or on the side walls of the bucket .
In order to achieve a structure resistant to stresses. acting on the bucket, the latter, when it is not used as a lifting element but rather as an element for clearing material, bears by its lower part against a cross member 60, provided at the lower part 62 projecting on the vehicle frame. Said cross member may optionally be reinforced with the aid of a few rafters or other suitable bracing elements forming part of the structure of the vehicle.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Advantageously, said cross member can optionally be fixed to the projecting frame 62, so that, when the bucket meets a certain resistance, it can effectively bear against the cross member 60, in order to be able to better withstand the forces to which the device. is submitted during labor.
The inclination of the bottom of the bucket downwards makes it possible, as we have just said, to increase the efficiency of the device,
When the edge 24 of the bucket has suitable cutting elements, it can more easily penetrate the material to be cleared and loaded, while when the bottom of the bucket is laid out horizontally, it is especially suitable for leveling operations etc.
According to the present invention, the side walls of the bucket are profiled so as to be able to receive and retain a share or the like, as shown in FIG. 11, which makes it possible to increase the possibilities of the device. For this purpose, the side walls of the bucket 22 are fitted with removable brackets 64 intended to receive the bolts 65 provided on the rear part of a share 66, the cutting edge of which is suitably inclined with respect to the axis. transverse of the vehicle, in order to deflect materials sideways. Said share is combined at its rear part with one or more abutments 68 which rest on the bottom of the bucket 22 in order to constitute a reaction element for the share itself.
The inclination of the cutting edge 66 of the share may be suitably adapted according to the requirements of the work to be performed. The height with respect to the ground of said cutting edge can be modified with a view to the more or less accentuated lifting of the bucket 22 by drilling, as has been said above, a certain number of holes in the upright 10 by drilling. view to fix the bucket at the desired height.
It is obvious that thanks to the device according to the present invention, it is possible to carry out any work of clearing and removing, leveling the ground, transporting the soil, etc. since it suffices to arrange the bucket in a determined position or to complete it with a plinth or any other suitable instrument, to achieve this condition.
In practice, the device may undergo any variant and modification relating to its application characteristics or to the characteristics of the vehicle on which the device in question will be used. Thus, for example, said device can provide for the substitution of the bucket by any other lifting mechanism.
It goes without saying that in practice the details of actuation and execution may vary, without departing from the scope of the invention and leaving the scope of patent protection.
