SYSTEME D ESCALIER PROCEDE POUR SA CONSTRUCTION ET MOULE POUR LA MISE -
EN OEUVRE DU. PROCEDE.

STAIRCASE SYSTEM PROCESS FOR ITS CONSTRUCTION AND MOLD FOR LAYING -
IMPLEMENTED BY. PROCESS.
The present invention relates to a staircase system, a process for its construction and a mold for carrying out this process. The staircase system according to the present invention consists of longitudinal elements of the length of the juxtaposed flight. The construction process for this staircase system involves simultaneously casting at least two longitudinal members in a common mold. The mold for implementing the method has several divisions making it possible to simultaneously cast several longitudinal elements. In this mold, the shapers molding the stairs are adjustable so that steps of different width and height can be obtained using the same mold.
In the accompanying drawings, there is shown by way of non-limiting example an embodiment of the stair system as well as of the mold, with the aid of which the process will be explained in more detail.
On these drawings:
Fig. 1 represents an elevation of the stairs.
Fig. 2 shows a mounted staircase. cut along line II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a plan of the finished staircase.
Figs. 4 and 5 show in longitudinal section the mold for making the staircase and the cross section according to the line 7V of FIG. 4.
Fig. 6 is a plan of the mold, and FIG. 7 is a detail of the mold.
The staircase is formed by distinct longitudinal elements, 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Figs. 2 and 3) which have the length of the entire flight. Each
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
element is constituted by a flat concrete beam 9 and by steps 10 with the tread 11 and riser 12 coverings, it has at both ends bearing surfaces 6 and 7 which come to rest on the bearings ± of the stairwell which are connected by the flight, and on which they are sealed with cement. The lateral connection between the wall of the stairwell and the neighboring staircase element is made by blocking blocks 5 which are sealed in corresponding recesses in the wall.
The various longitudinal elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 are also connected to each other, and this thanks to support bands 8 which are on one side of the concrete beam 9 and on which the neighboring beam rests. thanks to a corresponding recess (see Fig. 2).
The staircase system described is made using a mold which is shown in Figures 4 to 7. The latter has a hollow volume limited by a base plate 21 and by side walls 19 and subdivided further by longitudinal walls 15 in several sections. In this volume, the steps necessary to give the shape of the staircase have been placed and which are formed by two plates 13 and 16 perpendicular to each other, the riser plate 13 resting on the step plate 16. The tread plates 16 are fixed on the axes 17 around which they can rotate so that the height of the steps can be varied by simply rotating the plates 13 and 16 and placing a suitable support, for example a wooden slat attached to the riser plate 13.
To lock the plates in the position given to them, screws or adjustable bars were placed laterally 18.
The dividing walls 15 have a shape such that they allow the support strip 8 to be molded on one side and the corresponding recess on the other. They can slide laterally, which makes it possible to vary the width of the staircase elements. If the full width of the available volume is not utilized, it is convenient to limit it by the auxiliary wall 22. A filling body is designated as a wedge.
It is advantageous to cast the two flat concrete beams 9 and the steps in a lighter material, for example based on tuff. To form the step or riser plates, plates of corresponding dimensions 23 will be used, for example colored plates, ceramic plates or other similar materials, which will be placed in the mold before casting the longitudinal elements. 1 to 4, where appropriate by interposing an intermediate layer, for example an insulating layer which will be integral with the longitudinal element when it is cast.
In this way, the longitudinal elements can be put in place and assembled without any further finishing work.
The finished longitudinal elements are assembled on site. The mold can roll on the wheels 24, so that it is easy to transport.
The assembly of the elements is as simple as possible and it results from what has been said, without it being necessary to give further explanations. We will start by fixing the element which is provided with a block in the side wall of the stairwell by sealing the block, then we put the other elements side by side until we have reached the total width. of the stairs. The lower and upper ends of the staircase rest at 6 and 7 against the lower and upper landings p of the stairwell.
The described stair system has above all the advantage that its construction is obtained by a simple assembly, given that the various steps are no longer embedded and fixed in the wall of the staircase. In addition, it is well wedged, since each longitudinal element rests by its ends on the bearings.
The longitudinal elements are easy to make. They can be cast separately. The production according to the method described by way of example has the great advantage that all the longitudinal elements are cast simultaneously, whereby one obtains during assembly a

perfect adjustment of the step and riser plates. In fact, the plates 13 and 16 which produce these surfaces when the staircase is poured extend over the entire width of the mold.
Instead of being perpendicular, the plates 13 and 16 shown in Figures 4 and 7 can also form an acute angle. In this case, the counter step 12 of the finished staircase will be inclined backwards and the bottom forming a mouse step.
In order to obtain relief, it is possible to provide voids in the steps 10 which are not shown here.
