CERCUEIL.
L'invention est relative à un cercueil, dont les parois et le fond peuvent être démontés et expédiés en tant qu'éléments séparés et qui peuvent être assemblés par les acheteurs locaux de manière à constituer un cercueil.
Dans les cercueils de ce type déjà connu, les parois latérales peu- vent être assemblées sans clous, vis ou organes de fixation similaires, du fait qu'elles sont munies de parties pouvant s'emboîter, mais l'assemblage des parois au fond doit cependant être effectué au moyen des organes de fixation.
L'invention envisage d'obtenir un cercueil, dont les parois peu- vent être assemblées l'une à l'autre et au fond sans clous, vis ou organes de fixation similaires. Suivant, l'invention la face supérieure du fond est munie d'une rainure pour chaque paroi verticale, dont le côté extérieur et le fond sont formés par une surface courbée continue et dont le côté intérieur est formé par une surface dirigée obliquement vers l'extérieur. Dans cette rainure s'adaptent les parois verticales, munie d'un bord profilé de façon correspon- dante, dans les angles, ces parois verticales sont assemblées au moyen de mon- tants, reliés aux dites parois au moyen de queues d'aronde.
Une forme d'exécution, donnée à titre d'exemple non limitatif, est représentée au dessin, dans lequel:
La figure 1 représente en perspective une partie du cercueil.
La figure 2 est une coupe horizontale à une plus grande échelle d'une partie du point de rencontre de deux parois à un angle.
La figure 3 représente, également à plus grande échelle une cou- pe verticale d'une partie du fond du cercueil, muni d'un bord spécial.
Le cercueil se compose d'un fond 1,,de deux parois latérales lon- gues 2, de deux parois latérales courtes 3 et du couvercle 4.

Le fond 1 est muni pour chaque paroi latérale 2 ou 3, d'une rainu- re, dont le côté extérieur et le fond sont formés par une surface 5, courbée, approximativement circulaire. Le côté intérieur 6 de la rainure est forme par une surface dirigée obliquement vers l'extérieur. Le bord inférieur de chaque paroi comporte une ailette 7, qui s'adapte à la rainure du fond 1 et qui peut être engagée latéralement dans cette dernière en faisant simplement pivoter la dite paroi.
Après avoir disposé les parois 2 et 3 dans les rainures du fond, les montants d sont placés aux quatre angles du cercueil, les deux faces d'as- semblage des montants sont taillées en queue d'aronde 9 et s'engagent dans une rainure de profil correspondant des parois 2 et 3. Etant donné que ces parois sont garanties contre toute rotation par les montants, elles ne peuvent pas être enlevées des rainures et l'assemblage inébranlable des parois et du fond est obtenu.
Pour permettre l'exécution simple de la rainure du fond celui-ci est muni, suivant la figure 3, d'un bord spécial 10, qui est engagé dans une entaille de la face inférieure du fond. Cette construction présente, en outre, l'avantage que le fond 1 peu être composé de bandes étroites, qui sont réunies et maintenues par le bord 10.
Il va sans dire que le cercueil suivant l'invention peu être fa- briqué non seulement en bois, mais également en toute autre matière appropriée, telle que du métal, béton, la résine synthétique et autres matières artificiel- les.

The invention relates to a coffin, the walls and bottom of which can be dismantled and shipped as separate parts and which can be assembled by local buyers to form a coffin.
In coffins of this already known type, the side walls can be assembled without nails, screws or similar fasteners, since they are provided with interlocking parts, but the assembly of the walls at the bottom must however be carried out by means of the fasteners.
The invention contemplates obtaining a coffin, the walls of which can be assembled to each other and to the bottom without nails, screws or similar fasteners. According to the invention, the upper face of the bottom is provided with a groove for each vertical wall, the outer side and the bottom of which are formed by a continuous curved surface and the inner side of which is formed by a surface directed obliquely towards the outside. In this groove fit the vertical walls, provided with a correspondingly profiled edge, in the corners, these vertical walls are assembled by means of uprights, connected to said walls by means of dovetails.
One embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, is shown in the drawing, in which:

The bottom 1 is provided for each side wall 2 or 3 with a groove, the outer side and the bottom of which are formed by a surface 5, curved, approximately circular. The inner side 6 of the groove is formed by a surface directed obliquely outwards. The lower edge of each wall comprises a fin 7, which adapts to the bottom groove 1 and which can be engaged laterally in the latter by simply causing said wall to pivot.
After having placed the walls 2 and 3 in the bottom grooves, the uprights d are placed at the four corners of the coffin, the two assembly faces of the uprights are cut in a dovetail 9 and engage in a groove of corresponding profile of the walls 2 and 3. Since these walls are guaranteed against any rotation by the uprights, they cannot be removed from the grooves and the unshakeable assembly of the walls and the bottom is obtained.
To allow the simple execution of the bottom groove, the latter is provided, according to Figure 3, with a special edge 10, which is engaged in a notch in the underside of the bottom. This construction also has the advantage that the bottom 1 can be made up of narrow strips, which are joined and held by the edge 10.
It goes without saying that the coffin according to the invention can be made not only of wood, but also of any other suitable material, such as metal, concrete, synthetic resin and other artificial materials.
