DISPOSITIF POUR LE REGLAGE DE LA RESERVE DANS LES CANNErIERES ET
MACHINES ANALOGUES.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Une forme d'exécution est décrite plus en détail ci-après avec... référence aux dessins annexés,dans lesquels : les figures 1 et 2 schématisent, aussi sommairement que possible, le dispositif d'actionnement du crochet guide-fil dans deux positions carac- téristiques ; la figure 3 est une vue arrière d'une cannetière; la figure 4 est une coupe radiale du dispositif de réglage objet de l'invention,les deux demi-cames étant mutuellement solidaires; la figure 5 est une coupe radiale semblable à celle de la figure 4, les deux demi-cames étant mutuellement désengagées;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING THE RESERVE IN THE CRANKSHAFTS AND
SIMILAR MACHINES.
The invention relates to bobbin winding machines and similar winding machines, in which it is necessary to provide for the possibility of winding a reserve of thread onto the bobbin before carrying out the normal winding. This reserve is necessary to provide the bobbin with a sufficient length of thread for it to operate on a loom, and having been checked as empty by the usual feeler, there is still a sufficient number of picks available to ensure the return of the bobbin to the change. This number of picks is variable according to whether one weaves with one or two cans and also according to the weaving conditions.
It is therefore necessary to be able to adjust said reserve on the can with the double aim, on the one hand, of not producing such a reserve too short, which would lead to very appreciable defects in the fabric as a result of the interruption of the at each change, and, on the other hand, to produce too much reserve, which would lead to a loss of thread which, given the considerable number of bobbins used in a weaving, would quickly become very substantial. In order to adjust this reserve, the use of a mechanism controlled by a cam, the profile of which is variable, respectively adjustable, has been recommended. For this purpose, the cam is formed of two juxtaposed half-cams capable of being angularly displaced with respect to one another and of being immobilized in any relative angular position.
However, to fix the half-cams, clamping means have generally been used requiring the use of tools and introducing forces which are detrimental to the material.
The object of the invention is a device for adjusting said reserve, excluding clamping forces and the use of tools and which can, on the contrary, be maneuvered easily, quickly and outside the casing of the machine.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This device consists of juxtaposing two half-cams of well-defined profile and providing these half-cams with a mutual coupling means allowing them to be offset angularly with respect to each other and to firmly immobilize them in any desired relative angular position o
By this means, it is possible to obtain that the bosses - respectively the hollow - of the two half-cams completely or partially overlap and it follows that the boss - respectively the hollow - of one can, in a way, be extended by the boss - respectively the hollow - of the other, in such a way that the resulting boss - respectively the hollow - is essentially variable according to the relative angular position of the two juxtaposed half-cams o the lever controlled by this bipartible cam has at least ,
towards its end in contact with said cam, a thickness such that it is capable of being biased by one and / or the other of said half-cams. By this simple means, a variable profile cam has been produced and since the reserve is determined by the time during which the lever controlled by said cams is in contact with the hollow of the latter and this hollow being variable, it is therefore possible to preset the length of the reserve wound on the bobbin very exactly before normal filleting.
In accordance with the invention, this arrangement is made essentially practical by interposing between the two half-cams or between any part or part directly secured to these two half-cams, a means of attachment, preferably by meshing. so as to be able to release said half-cams from one another by the simple fact of releasing said meshing
For this purpose, for example, one of the half-cams has an extended hub in the form of a nozzle, the free end of which is lined with a toothed disc, the other half-cam is keyed on the axis through which said nozzle passes. of the first half-cam and protrudes on said toothed disc.
At the end of this axis is disposed a toothed sector mounted on a pivot bearing on said axis and perpendicular to the latter, pivot about which said sector can tilt, this sector being biased towards its position of engagement with the aforesaid toothed disc of any suitable way. It is then sufficient, in order to vary the angular position of the two juxtaposed cams to temporarily release said toothed sector by causing it to tilt around its axis, to produce an angular displacement between said toothed sector and said ring gear by moving them 1-one with respect to the other of a number of teeth corresponding to the angular variation to be produced and then to abandon said toothed sector so that it again meshes with said toothed disc.
The two half-cams are thus again secured in a new angular position corresponding to the reserve of thread necessary for the filleting to be produced.
The cams can obviously be made in very different ways and their profile is essentially variable depending on the machines equipped with the equipment. The means allowing the mutual immobilization of the two cams, their relative angular movement as well as the control of their position are also variable. mutual.
One embodiment is described in more detail below with ... reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figures 1 and 2 show schematically, as briefly as possible, the device for actuating the thread guide hook in two positions characteristics ; Figure 3 is a rear view of a cannula; FIG. 4 is a radial section of the adjustment device which is the subject of the invention, the two half-cams being mutually integral; FIG. 5 is a radial section similar to that of FIG. 4, the two half-cams being mutually disengaged;
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
FIGS. 6 and 7 represent, in front view, two characteristic positions of the variable profile cam; Figure 8 is an elevational view of the device according to Figures 4 and 5.
As schematized very briefly in Figures 1 and 2, the position of the thread on the thread guide 1 is determined by the position of the hook 2, which by rotating around its rod 3 led in a way, the thread along the guide -fil and brings it into one of the grooves of said yarn guide.
The rod 2 is fitted with a stopper 4. permanently urged against a linkage 5 by a return spring.6. This rod 5. is lined at the end by a lever 2. to which is articulated :, by a pivot 8, a connecting rod 9 articulated towards its other end, by a pivot 10 to one of the branches of an angled lever 11.
The latter can oscillate around the fixed axis 12 and its second branch is in permanent contact with one of the ends of a rod 13, the other end of which is in contact with the button 14 of a crank 15 mounted on an axis fixed 16. Said button 14 is in contact with one and / or the other of the two half-cams 17-18.
According to the invention, the two half-cams 17-18 are juxtaposed and have a similar or different profile. In the example illustrated in Figures 4 to 8, the profiles are similar. The half-cam 17 is keyed on the axis 19. The second half-cam 18 comprises a hub 20 bears on the corresponding part of the housing 21 by means of the gasket 22.
Said hub 20 is extended beyond said housing 21 where it is furnished with a disc 23 whose periphery has a serration 24 and whose visible face, that is to say that which is directed outwards. presents a

toothed crown 25, .Laxe 12., p-rolonàé towards 1-lexérièur, of the casing 2.9ravérsant said toothed ring 23-24-25 carries on its projecting end 26 a transverse pivot 27 on which rests a toothed sector 28. The latter isp in its rear part, arranged in the form of a bowl 29 in which a return spring 30 is supported.
In its anterior part, said toothed sector 28 has a finger 31 facilitating the tilting of said sector and its temporary disengaging from the toothed ring 25. Therefore, to modify the length of the reserve to be wound before normal cannage, it suffices exert a small pull on the finger 31, release the toothed sector 28 and angularly move the half-cam 18 relative to the half-cam 17 by the desired amount and then abandon the toothed sector . the operation of the toothed ring 25. is facilitated by the peripheral cutting 24. Systematically, the angular position of the half-cams 17-18 has thus been changed and they have again been mutually secured to each other and to their axis of training 19.
In fact, by angularly displacing the ring gear 25, relative to the toothed sector 28, the half-cam 17 has been moved relative to the half-cam 18 and thereby the quantity of which the two bosses of said half-cams has been modified. cams overlap each other. It would obviously be possible to angularly move the second half-cam relative to the first.
Depending on the relative angular position of the two half-cams, the time during which the rod 13 is pushed back by said half-cams 17-18 is varied. This rod acts on the bent lever 11 which urges down the connecting rod 2 which pulls on the lever 7 and therefore also on the rod 5. The latter pushes back the stop 4. which maintains the guide hook 2 in the position shown in FIG. 2. When the half-cams 17-18 then present their hollow to the rod 13, this rod will pull on the bent lever 11 which will urge the connecting rod 9. upwards.
The latter will turn the lever 7 and the rod 5. so as to partially release the stop! and admit that said guide hook 2 is placed in the position shown in Figure 1.
.
We can obviously combine the various members described in any other form and in any other relative position than those illustrated by way of example.
