SUSPENSION ARRIERE POUR MOTOSCOOTER CONSTITUEE PAR UN SEUL BRAS
TUBULAIRE.
L'objet de l'invention est une suspension arrière pour moto scooter constituée par un seul bras tubulaire, qui est représentée à titre d'exemple sur les dessins annexés;, sur lesquels la figure 1 est une coupe longitudina- le médiane du dispositif vu de la gauche par rapport au sens de la marche, avec en élévation la partie postérieure du bras portant la roue; la figure 2 est un plan montrant en coupe horizontale le dispositif d'amortissement;

REVENDICATIONS.

REAR SUSPENSION FOR MOTOSCOOTER CONSTITUTES BY A SINGLE ARM
TUBULAR.
The object of the invention is a rear suspension for a motorcycle scooter constituted by a single tubular arm, which is shown by way of example in the accompanying drawings ;, in which FIG. 1 is a median longitudinal section of the device seen from the left in relation to the direction of travel, with the rear part of the arm carrying the wheel in elevation; FIG. 2 is a plan showing in horizontal section the damping device;
Figure 3 is a transverse vertical section seen from behind through the cushioning device. As can be seen in the drawing., The suspension which forms the subject of the invention consists essentially of the curved tubular arm 1 welded to a section of tube 2, in which the bosses and the fixing pivot are arranged. from the suspension to the two uprights 3 of the scooter frame. To the tube 2 is welded a plate 4, at the upper end of which is fixed a chin 5 which bears on the elastic system 6 attached to the plate 20 itself fixed to the aforementioned frame.
The part 4 is extended towards the rear by an enlargement in the form of a wing 7 which, at the end of the stroke, bears on the elastic buffer 8 to limit the return stroke of the suspension. The buffer 8 is supported by the plate 9 fixed to the two rear arms 10 and 10a of the frame.
At the rear end of the arm 1 is, in addition., Welded the circular box 11, in which the drum 12 can rotate, which has an eccentric hole 13. In the latter is fixed the hub of the rear wheel, in such a way that ., if the drum 12 is rotated in the box 11, the displacement of the hole 13 in which the hub of the wheel carrying the tire is fixed is carried out, and consequently the removal or approach of this tire is also carried out. hub (and consequently of the wheel) and of the frame ;, which makes it possible to adjust the chain. Once this setting is obtained, the drum 12 can be locked in the box 11 (which is notched on its rear face) by tightening the knobs 14.
Thanks to the constitution of the suspension by a single arm 1, it is possible to replace the tire immediately in the event of damage, the wheel being fixed to the hub by bolts as in known types of automobiles.

Likewise, in addition, as the arm 1 is of circular section, it offers particular resistance to torsional forces. To the tube 2 is, on the other hand, fixed the arm 15 which .. on both sides of its posterior extension, carries two friction linings 16; on the outside of these linings are arranged the plates 17 and 17bis fixed to the left rear arm of the frame 10, The pressure between the linings 16 and the plates 17, 17bis, is adjustable, by means of the very flexible spring 18 , by means of the wheel 19 integral with a screw journalled in the plate 17a.
In the extension of the arm 15, which constitutes the damping device, a slot 15a in the form of a circular segment is formed, which allows the passage of the aforementioned screw during the oscillation of the arm 15.
