FITTING FOR PIPES AND PIPES.
The invention relates to an articulated connection for tubes and pipes, the articulation of which consists essentially of rotating bodies or sections of rotating bodies, inserted into one another.
Many embodiments of such tube joints are known, however they have the disadvantage that their pivoting is only possible at a fairly low angle.
The embodiment according to the invention does not present this disadvantage; it makes it possible to pivot at a greater angle.
This object is achieved by the fact that an additional rotating body of similar shape is movably interposed between the two rotating bodies, this additional body which is provided with a lumen, mainly serves to cover the correspondingly enlarged opening of one of the rotating bodies of the tube or pipe connector o This rotating body is driven intermittently like a free slide.
One embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, is shown in the accompanying drawing.
The tube 1 is provided at its end with the rotating body 2 in the form of an arc of a circle, while the tube 3 carries at its end the rotating body 4 of corresponding shape. Between the two rotary bodies 2 and 4 is interposed a third rotary body 5 provided with a slot 6. The rotary body 5 covers, in any position, the relatively large opening of the rotary body 4, without prevent flexion of the joint.
The covering is effected in the manner of a free slide, the extension 7 of the tube 1 serving as a drive for the rotary body 5. Instead of this drive, it is also possible to provide suitable devices on the tube. tube 3 or even on the rotating body 5. The inlet

nement of the rotary body 5 can also be obtained by means of a toothed gear disposed between the rotary body 2 or 4 and the rotary body 5.
In order to divert the materials which pass through the tubes connected by the articulated couplings, a shock plate 8, made of a wear-resistant material, is placed opposite the opening of the tube 1. This plate 8 can pivot in 9, it is interchangeable, however you must first remove the cover plate 10.
The drawing shows the joint in a flexed position. It turns out that, for example, the tube 1 can be rotated by a certain additional angle, for example 15, towards one of the sides. On the other hand, the same tube 1 can be rotated at least 100, from the position shown in the drawing to the other side. During this last pivoting, the tube 1 first moves alone with the rotating body 2. The rotating body 5 remains stationary and moves only when the extension 7 of the tube 1 abuts against the upper edge of the lumen 6. If the pivoting of the tube 1 is continued, the intermediate rotary body 5 also moves.
The dimensions of said intermediate body 5 are calculated so that the relatively large opening of the rotating body 4 remains covered.
