La présente invention concerne un ustensile, permettant de peler les fruits tels que les oranges, les pamplemousses et autres fruits d'aurian- tacées d'une façon plus rapide et plus rationnelle qu'à l'aide des instruments tels que les couteaux, utilisés habituellement à cette fin. Les instruments tranchants habituels présentent notamment le désavantage de produire une inci- sion dont la profondeur ne peut être contrôlée.
L'ustensile suivant l'invention est muni d'un tranchant, présen- tant sensiblement la forme d'un "U", dont la profondeur de pénétration est li- mitée par une surface d'appui, et qui taille une rainure de faible profondeur dans la peau du fruit.
L'ustensile suivant l'invention peut être muni, de plus, d'une pièce de contour sensiblement parabolique, incurvée en forme de cuillère, de manière à pouvoir être glissée, grâce à la rainure précitée exécutée préala- blement, entre la peau et la chair du fruit.
Dans un mode d'exécution préférentiel de l'ustensile suivant l'in- vention, le contour sensiblement parabolique susdit est obtenu au moyen d'une tige métallique pliée,
Le mode de réalisation décrit ci-dessous, à l'aide des dessins an- nexés, est donné à titre d'exemple non limitatif de l'ustensile suivant l'in- vention.

La figuré 2 est une vue en perspective d'une partie de la figure 1, à une autre échelle.
La partie essentielle de l'ustensile suivant l'invention est cons- tituée par la plaque profilée 1 (voir notamment figure 2). Cette pièce, sy- métrique par rapport à la surface d'appui 2, comprend une lame 3, faisant un angle d'environ 30 avec la surface d'appui susdite, oui constitue la base du tranchant en "U", Les deux autres côtés de ce tranchant sont formés par les pièces de raccord 4.

La plaque profilée 1 est fixée sur la tige pliée 5. Cette tige présente un contour sensiblement parabolique. Elle est incurvée en cuillère, de façon à pouvoir épouser la forme du fruit à peler. La partie supérieure 6 de la tige, proche du sommet de la parabole, est aplatie pour pouvoir être introduite plus facilement entre la peau et la chair du fruit. A la partie inférieure, les deux branches 7 de la tige se rejoignent et sont introduites ensemble dans un orifice axial du manche 8.
Pour peler les fruits à l'aide de l'ustensile suivant l'invention, on découpe, à l'aide de la lame 3 précitée et des pièces de raccord 4 susdites, une rainure peu profonde, et dont la profondeur est limitée par la surface d'appui 2, dans la peau du fruit. On fait passer, ensuite, la partie supérieu- re 6 de la tige dans cette rainure, et glisse ladite tige entre la peau et la chair du fruit. En déplaçant alors la tige par rapport au fruit, on peut très facilement séparer la peau de la chair.

The essential part of the utensil according to the invention is constituted by the profiled plate 1 (see in particular FIG. 2).
